GOLD DIGGERS: Carmen and Mac were seemingly blissful in their marriage together, however, Carmen was shopping a lot with the Rockwell money. Carmen was then stunned to see her brother, Mateo, in Kelsey Lake. Mateo admitted he came once he heard his sister was married to a Rockwell. He asked Carmen if she signed a prenup and Carmen realized that she had. Mateo told her that they needed a backup plan incase her marriage to Mac failed as they didn't want to be poor again. Under Mateo's advice, Carmen started buying up Rockwell Mining stocks using Rockwell funds. She was almost caught by Lucinda, but she was able to cover. Carmen, then, witnessed a close moment between Celeste and Mac and was livid. Celeste soon turned up dead and Carmen comforted Mac. On the day of Stacey and Houston's wedding, Carmen and Mateo met and discussed their plan, unaware that Lydia overheard. Lydia confronted the younger woman; Carmen admitted that she owned 51% of Rockwell Mining. Lydia revealed that she also heard Carmen admit to Mateo that she killed Celeste! Carmen admitted it and knocked Lydia out with a candle stick!

WALKING DEAD: Carmen continued to suffer from nightmares of killing a member of the Rockwell family or being at one of their funerals. She told Mateo that she was having these dreams since she killed Celeste. Mateo encouraged his sister to move on from what happened because she was living the golden life now. Carmen and Mac continued to grow closer and made love. She supported Mac while Stacey went through her medical crisis. One night, Carmen thought she saw a ghostly Celeste appear to her. She screamed in horror and then the figure was gone. Carmen realized that she had to get herself under control, but shortly after Celeste appeared to her again. Carmen threw something at the ghost and it disappeared. Stacey comforted a distraught Carmen. The following night, Celeste appeared to Carmen again and she lost it. She threw a decanter at the wall, which shattered. Celeste, who was alive and gaslighting Carmen, rushed out but Carmen continued to thrash the room. She picked up a lamp and threw it across the room; the lamp struck Mac, who was coming home from the hospital. Mac's bloody body crumbled to the ground. Horrified, Carmen called Mateo for help; Mateo pronounced him dead as he couldn’t find Mac's pulse. Carmen was stunned and they realized that the Rockwell's would accuse Carmen of purposely killing back to get his money. They agreed to bury the body on the estate until they knew what to do with him; after they buried the body, Mac's hand shot up from the grave still showing signs of life.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Carmen and Mateo secretly planned to keep Mac's "death" a secret. Carmen announced to the Rockwell's that Mac went away to Paris on a business trip. They thought it was odd considering Mac loves the
holiday's. A short time later, Carmen told the family Mac died in
Paris. The family was crushed. Mateo continued to encourage his sister
to keep up her plan. Carmen then took over Rockwell Mining, much to
the angst of the Rockwell's. She refused to step down since she
claimed she was Mac's widow and majority share holder. Soon after,
Carmen and Mateo went to dig up Mac's body so they could have it
"arrive from Paris", only to discover the body was missing!

CABO WABO: Carmen and Mateo worried when they couldn't find Mac's body. Mateo convinced Carmen that Mac is still dead otherwise he would have turned up alive. He forged documents for Carmen to "prove" that Mac's body perished in the plane crash. The Rockwell's were crushed. Carmen was thrilled when she was left with a quarter of Mac's shares in Rockwell Mining, which meant she would be able to retain the CEO position of the company, despite shares dropping because of her leadership. Carmen soon met a mysterious lover and they went to Cabo together. He turned out to be Lydia's former lover, Noel Baker, who wanted to get his hands on some of the Rockwell fortune. Together, Carmen and Noel plotted to keep her in the CEO position. Carmen was stunned when Lydia produced an amendment to Mac's will that left all of his shares to Lex. Carmen had the document reviewed by Lloyd Heckler, who confirmed that the document was legit, unaware Lydia had gotten Kent to blackmail Lloyd. Carmen told Mateo to get rid of Lex until she could figure out a way to keep the company. Noel suggested that she offer the company to the family in exchange for 500 million dollars. Lydia and Lucinda were stunned at her request. Lucinda then realized that Carmen and Noel were together and told Lydia, who confronted the couple. Later, Carmen told Lydia that she had 24 hours to get her the money or she would stay in the position. Mac and Celeste then interrupted the meeting and told Carmen her games were over.

THE SWITCH: Carmen was pressing Mac to give her a better divorce settlement. She came face to face with Celeste and threatened to expose her if she didn't help her. Alone, Carmen recounted how after Celeste was revealed to be alive, she was arrested for attempted murder. Carmen threatened to stall the divorce proceedings, so Celeste visited her in jail. Celeste started to cramp and lost the baby, which Carmen knew. Once Carmen got out of jail, she realized that Celeste was raising Stacey's baby and they told Stacey her child was dead. Celeste vowed to do what she could to help Carmen to keep her quiet. Shortly after, Marat and Carmen met and they hit it off. They soon ended up in bed and Marat suggested marriage. Wanting her divorce to be over, Carmen agreed to Mac's settlement. Then, Carmen overheard Marat and Houston talking and was stunned to learn that Houston put Marat up to seeing Carmen to distract her. Furious, Carmen dumped Marat and pulled a gun on Houston! She forced him and Celeste to admit the baby switch, to a stunned Mac, Stacey and Kent!

CHRISTMAS MINI SERIES: Carmen ran into Slate and they hit it off. She casually suggested that they work together to get revenge on the Rockwell's. After Slate had another rough day in the mailroom at Rockwell Mining, he agreed and they ended up in bed together. Carmen then saw Mac, and told him she had moved on. He told her he didn't care. Slate, then, showed up on Carmen's door and told her that they were going to get their revenge.

SEASON SIX: Carmen and Slate continued to grow closer as she realized that Nathan was slowly taking over Rockwell Mining and she wanted in on it. Carmen, then, was stunned when Mateo revealed himself to be alive. Mateo explained that he survived the boating accident in Cabo and was back because he wanted revenge on Lex. Carmen agreed to help her brother. At the same time, Mateo encouraged Carmen to marry Slate to secure their future. Carmen suggested marriage to Slate, who was put off by the suggestion. Carmen continued to work on him and Slate finally agreed to the wedding. They eloped in Las Vegas and returned to Kelsey Lake in time for Nathan and Sabine's engagement party. The day after, Lucinda found Slate's body in the pool as he drown! Carmen was gutted and revealed to Nathan that she married Slate before he died. Nathan hissed that Slate could have done better than Carmen, which annoyed her. Shortly after, Carmen went to the boat where Mateo was staying and she pulled a gun on Quinn, Kent and Stacey, who arrived to save Lex and Houston. A fight between Stacey and Carmen broke out and the gun went off! The bullet killed Mateo, which devastated Carmen.

SEASON SEVEN: Carmen was thrilled when she was appointed CEO of Rockwell mining once Nathan was shot. She visited Nathan and told him she hoped he died. Carmen was determined to keep her position and realized she needed to do something huge to make some headlines. Lydia suggested to her that they merge Rockwell Mining and Blackmore Ltd. together, which Carmen thought was brilliant. On the day of the merger, Lydia told Carmen that she wasn’t going to go through with it because of her relationship with Stacey; furious, Carmen pulled a gun on Lydia and forced her to continue. Lydia, then, realized that Carmen shot Nathan! Carmen held a gun into Lydia’s back at the press conference to announce the merger was finalized. Lydia spotted the police and stabbed Carmen in the leg with a pen! Carmen shot at Lydia, but she was only hurt with a flesh wound. The police, however, shot at Carmen and she was killed.
