Lydia Rockwell sits in the visitor's centre of the jail and waits for Odette Williams to appear across from her. While Kent Blackmore is in surgery donating a piece of his liver to her son Lex Rockwell, Lydia came to the jail to see the woman who has confessed to drugging her son; she has something to say to Odette and she knew that it couldn't wait.

She looks up when Odette appears in her orange jump suit and sits across from her. Lydia immediately picks up the telephone and waits for Odette to do the same.

"I should have expected you to show up here after I confessed," Odette speaks first to the woman across the glass wall from her. "Why are you here? You wanna rake me over the coals or something?"

Lydia chuckles back to her. "Did you really expect me not to come and see you? You confess to trying to kill my son and think that I'm going to sit back and let you get away with this?"

"Does it look like I'm getting away with anything?" Odette asks her. "Look where I am compared to where you are. Although, you were in my position not so long ago yourself."

Lydia fumes back to her, recalling how she was sent to jail for corporate espionage but was released; still those days that she was in jail were some of the worst of her life. "Don't you dare compare what I did to what you have done! Do you realize that my son could die?"

"When Jarek was here last, he told me that Lexington was doing better," Odette tries to defend herself.

"When was Jarek here?" Lydia asks her. "Never mind that, I came here for another reason. I wanted you to know that you will rot in jail for the rest of your miserable life for trying to kill my son. If you think you're going to get away with this, you have another thing coming."

Odette breaks out into a loud cackle at Lydia's remarks. "You rich folk, you're all the same," Odette tells her with a grin on her face. "You think you can do whatever the fuck you want, and face no consequences, but as soon as someone does something to you, you wanna throw the book at them. Let me tell you something, everything I have ever done was for my son. You, on the other hand, every single one of your children, including your precious Lexington, hates you. And you know what? That's something you'll have to live with rest of your miserable life."

Before Lydia can respond, Odette slams her phone down and stands up. She looks at the guard, who escorts her away from Lydia. Lydia slowly hangs up her phone, her blood pressure higher than ever before.

"How dare she speak to me that way," she whispers as she hangs up the phone. She shakes her head quickly. "She's right though; my children hate me. I have to do something, anything to get them back in my good graces."

She stands up and grabs her large Louie Vuitton purse to put it over her shoulder. "Wait a minute," she gasps a little, as the wheels in her head start turning. "I think I know exactly what I have to do to get my children back."

"Where did you disappear too?" Mac Rockwell asks his wife, Celeste Rockwell, who comes back into the waiting room after being away for a few minutes. Mac has no idea where Celeste would have rushed off to right before Lex went into surgery, but he would like to know. In the back of Mac's mind, he can't help but think about seeing Celeste and Cole together; he knows that his wife chose to be with him, but the fact that Cole took a bullet for Celeste has left him very unsettled. He wonders if the entire situation has created old feelings between his wife and son.

"I wanted to get some air," Celeste lies to him, knowing that she filled her birth control prescription. She choose to be with Mac, but since the shooting she hasn't been able to get Cole out of her mind. To her, she can't possibly have a baby with Mac right now until she has everything in her head sorted out. She just can't tell him the truth; she knows that he wouldn't understand what was going on with her. "Sorry, I meant to tell you."

"It's fine, you're back now," he smiles to her as he pulls her into an embrace. "I just wanted you near while Lex is in surgery. They say it could be a couple of hours."

"Yea, I remember that from when Dr. Chen wax explaining the procedure. I guess we are playing the waiting game then, huh?"

"Seems so," he licks his lips. "I have a pretty good idea of how we could pass the time though."

"Do you?" She asks, knowing where his mind is going.

"Why don't we go home and work on making that baby together? I know I could use the release."

"Lead the way," she says, grabbing his hand as they start walking towards to the door.

Cole Rockwell walks into country club and immediately sees Vivian Blackmore sitting at the bar with a champagne cocktail in front of her. He sighs as he knows that he has to talk to her, only he has been dreading the conversation because he knows that he has to end things with her. He decided to get away from the hospital while Lex was in surgery to come and see Vivian; after all, the longer he waits to break things off, the more difficult it will be for both of them.

"Cole," she purses her lips together as he walks up to her. She gets up from her chair and pulls him into a hug. As they exit their embrace, she leans in and kisses him passionately on the lips, her tongue quickly moving inside his mouth. "I've missed you. And, I've been worried about you. You're looking much better, though."

"Thanks," he smiles back to her as he sits next to her and orders a brandy. "I've been seeing Brock Jennings; he's a miracle worker. It's like I never took a bullet."

"I still can't believe that woman went to the hospital with a gun," Vivian quips back to him, thinking about Odette shooting someone in the hospital. "Thank God she's behind bars. Who knows what other damage she could have done."

"Yea," Cole agrees with her. "There's something else you should know. Odette, she confessed to drugging Lexington. She's the reason my brother might die."

"Wow," Vivian replies to him. "She is clearly off her rocker."

"Seems so," Cole says back to her. "Kent and Lex are in surgery now. It should take a couple of hours."

"I can't believe that Kent is actually donating part of his liver."

"We are all grateful," Cole replies to her. "He's saving Lexington."

"So, you wanted to see me while the surgery took place," she winks back to him. "Are you suggesting we head upstairs? I'm sure you have some steam to blow off."

He takes a drink of his brandy and then looks back at her. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you."

Vivian arches her eyebrow. "It sounds serious," she tells him before she takes a drink of her cocktail. "What is it Cole? You know you can tell me anything."

Cole nods back to her. "I've been thinking," he starts to tell her. "This shooting has really left me with a clear picture in my head."

"About us?" She asks him, her excitement growing. "I think I know exactly what you're going to say, and I have to tell you that I feel the exact same way. What started out as a fling has really turned into so much more for me."

Cole looks back at her in shock. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I've fallen in love with you," Vivian tells him as she grabs his hand. "Isn't that what you were going to tell me? You love me too, right?"

Cole takes another drink of his brandy. How can he possibly dump Vivian now when she just professed her love for him? He doesn't respond to her. "Well?" She asks him. "What were going to tell me?"

"Just that I appreciate your support during this time with my brother," he gulps back to her.

"Oh," she suddenly feels embarrassed. "I shouldn't have said anything."

"Don't be silly," he tells her. "It's fine Vivian. Everything is just fine."

Lydia opens the door to Kent's office at Blackmore Ltd. and quickly moves to his desk. She knows that while Kent is recovering from the surgery, he will place her in charge of his company and that's why she is there now. She was thinking about how she could get back into her children's good graces and that's when it hit her: Stacey is dating Marat Kafelinkov. If she could get Marat's father to move his company, Kremlin Diamonds, from Rockwell Mining to Blackmore Ltd., she would be working closer with Marat and his father. Marat would have to see what a good woman she is, which means he could tell Stacey how great she is. Stacey will forgive her and then convince her brother's to do the same.

"It is a great plan," she whispers to herself. "I don't know what else to do. I have to get my children to forgive me. If I can get Marat on my side, it is my only chance. The only problem is, I have to get the entire Russian mine to leave Rockwell and come to Blackmore. I will have to work my magic, but I can do that."

She opens Kent's computer and starts typing, looking for Yuri Kafelikov's phone number. "Perfect," she says as she writes it down. "As soon as I know Kent is safe, I'll call and make sure that this happens."

MOSCOW, RUSSIA

"Father, have you given any more thoughts to how to utilize the additional 5% profits we are getting from Rockwell Mining?" Marat asks Yuri Kafelinkov, as he steps into his father's office at Kremlin Diamonds, the diamond mine company that Yuri owns. Marat has long looked up to his father for his business sense; he just hopes that his father will be accepting of him falling in love with an American, because he knows that his father would prefer that he stay in Russia to marry and be in love. The fact is, Marat wants to go back to the USA to be with Stacey.

Yuri swirls around in his chair, puffing on a large cigar. He places it in the large ashtray, and crosses his arms over his chest. "I have many ideas," he says back to his son, in a heavy Russian accent. "I'd like to try to expand, potentially east. The Ukraine has some areas that have very rare, blue, diamonds. We could make a fortune as the area is basically untampered with."

Marat nods back to him. "It could be very profitable," he says back to his father. "Especially, if we continue to team up with Rockwell Mining."

"Gah," Yuri coughs back to him. "Getting involved with those American's is one of the worst mistakes we have made."

Marat shakes his head in confusion. "Why? We are gaining more money than before," he says back to him. "We can only expand because of Mac Rockwell's generous offer."

"As quickly as they gave us that offer, they took it away," Yuri tells him, thinking about how when Lydia took over as CEO, she revoked the 5% clause. "Only then to give it back. It's like...what is that American child's toy that they play with?"

"A yo-yo?" Marat chuckles back to him. "They have been a little unsettled, I admit that. But now that Mac is back in charge..."

"For how long?" Yuri questions him. "Don't get me wrong, Marat, I enjoy getting these profits, I just don't trust those American's."

Marat uneasily nods back to him. "And that's why, I've decided to," Yuri shakes his head back and forth. "How do I say this, alter, the financials for Rockwell."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not going to send them all the diamonds that they deserve," Yuri says with a slight grin on his face before he takes another puff of his cigar. "We are going to skim from the top and keep some of our diamonds for us. Fair is fair, right?"

Marat gulps, thinking about how Stacey would feel if she knew about this. "And, before you scold me," Yuri doesn't give him the chance to speak. "Save your breath. My mind is made up, and I know about your feelings for that Rockwell girl, Stacey."

"Father, I was going to tell you."

"Were you, now?" He asks him back. "I had to find out from my people that you are in love with at that girl. If you can call it love."

"I do love her, father," Marat protests to him. "I was hoping to get your blessing on asking her to marry me. I was hoping that I would be allowed to go back to the United States to get the woman that I love."

Yuri shrugs his shoulders as another big puff of smoke leaves his mouth. "You can do what you will," Yuri tells his son. "As long as you are loyal to me and Kremlin Diamonds first."

"Always, you know that."

"Then, I will not stop you."

Marat gets a smile on his face. "Thank you father, Thank you so much."

"We haven't had a real chance to catch up since you've been back in town," Stacey Rockwell tells her Aunt, Sabine Andrews as they sit across from one another in the cafeteria of the hospital, while they wait for news about Lex's surgery. "The last time we heard or saw you, you were married to Patrick Montgomery. What happened?"

Sabine sighs as she takes a sip of her coffee. "God, this really is awful coffee, huh?" She laughs a little before looking back at her niece. "And yes, I was married to Patrick. I had to find out the hard way that he was like most men, a liar and a cheater. I caught him in bed with one of my staff members."

"That's awful, I'm so sorry," Stacey tells her.

"It's fine, but thank you," Sabine puts a smile on her face. "The truth is, I don't think there is a man out there that is for me. I can be a lot to handle."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, I think I'm a pretty good looking woman," Sabine admits to her. "And, I'm very successful. The biggest and most profitable diamond companies in the world have contracted me to cut the diamonds; being a diamond cutter is something I take a lot of pride in. Not a lot men can handle that kind of success."

Stacey nods back to her. "I completely understand," she tells her. "And, for the record, you are beautiful. Never think otherwise of yourself."

Sabine giggles a little back to her. "Thank you, Stacey. You're a sweet girl. Now, enough about that. How about you? I heard that your fiancé passed away?"

Stacey puts her head down for a moment, as she thinks about Houston Blackmore being killed in the car crash that put her into a coma for a couple of weeks. "He did die," Stacey finally replies to her. "And, I was in a coma following the car accident. The fact is though, while I haven't forgotten about Houston, I could never do that, I have learned to move on with my life."

"That sounds like there is someone else in your life," Sabine smiles back to her.

"There is," Stacey admits to her. "Marat Kafelinkov. He was here from Russia because he was doing business with my father. He's back there now dealing with his father, but he made me fall in love with him."

Sabine tries to hide her apprehension at the hearing the name Kafelinkov but grabs Stacey's hand. "I'm happy for you," she tells her niece. "And, I hope he comes back soon so you can be together again."

"You look like you are glowing," Cole says to Celeste, as he comes back into the waiting room at the hospital and sees his step-mother sitting in a chair.

Celeste looks back at Cole and gulps. She can't tell him that she and Mac just got back from another love making session because he is determined to have a child together. However, Celeste hasn't been able to stop thinking about that night she and Cole shared the night of the rain storm; the night that could have produced the child she lost.

"I guess I am," she tells him as he sits next to her. "Your father and I are in a very good place."

"I see," he replies to her quickly. "So, the fact that I told you that I still love you means nothing to you? Can you honestly tell me that you have no feelings for me at all?"

"Cole," Celeste begins to protest, hoping that she will believe her own lies. "I love Mac. We are trying to have a child together."

"You're what?" Cole asks shocked by her revelation. "You just lost your child not so long ago. The child that could have been..."

"It was never ours," she tells him coldly. "We never had anything more than an one night stand."

"I will never believe that," he whispers back to her. "What we shared was so much more. And you know it."

"I thought you told me that you respected my decision to be with Mac?"

"I do, I have," he quickly says back to her. "But, I can't help that I still love you. And, I think if you're honest with yourself, the shooting has made you realize the very same thing."

"Am I interrupting something?" Mac asks as he walks into the waiting room, spying his son and wife together. He can't help but think that something is going on between them. They couldn't be having another affair, could they? He asks himself.

"Of course not sweetheart," Celeste stands up and hugs her husband. "I was just telling Cole that we should be hearing something about the surgery very soon."

"I hope so," Mac replies to them. "We need Lex to pull through. There are no other options."

"You are right about that," Lucinda says to her son, coming into the waiting room. "We have to believe that Lexington will survive this. We really do not have any other choice."

Cole stands up and hugs his grandmother, as Mac watches closely. He looks back at Celeste, who is staring at Cole. Mac wonders what is really going on between his son and wife and what he really walked in on.

Before he can say anything else, Lydia arrives at the waiting room. "Has the surgery ended yet?" She asks everyone.

"Well, why the hell did you leave the hospital if you are so worried about your son and fiancé?" Lucinda snaps at her. "Actually, never mind that. I know how you work. You're always looking for the next big thing in your life. Have I mentioned that I still will make you pay for all the damage you have done to my family?"

"Can we please not fight right now?" Cole asks his grandmother, cutting Lydia off who was about to strike back at Lucinda. "Lex is in a surgery that could change our lives forever. Can we just put all of our differences aside and be a family?"

Before either woman can reply, Dr. Chen arrives at the waiting room doorway. He takes off some gloves and comes into the room, as the family turn and look at him.

"Doctor," Mac announces to him. "How did it go? How was the surgery?"

"It was a success," Dr. Chen replies to them. "Kent is recovering, and Lex is doing well."

"Thank God," Lydia covers her mouth. "Can we see them?"

"Yes, Kent is awake now. He will need some rehab and will be in some pain for awhile, but he's doing well."

"And Lex?" Cole asks about his brother.

"Lex is still asleep. It will take a bit for his body to acknowledge the new, healthy, liver. But, I expect him to wake up in a day or two."

"Thank you Doctor," Mac shakes Dr. Chen's hand. "Thank you so much."

***

"Darling, I was thinking," Mac comes up to Celeste, as they move to a corner of the waiting room to have a private conversation. "We are at the hospital."

Celeste arches her eyebrow at his comment. "Yes, I know where we are," she purses her lips together. "Why do you think I needed to be reminded of that?"

Mac looks back at her with a twinkle in his eye. "Well, we've been making love on a regular basis. Why not pop in and have a pregnancy test done? We could be pregnant right now and not even know it? I'd love to surprise the family with some more good news, if you are pregnant."

Celeste uneasily gulps back to him, knowing that she has been taking the pill so she can't be pregnant. But, she also knows that she can't tell Mac the truth about this because he would be devastated.

"Sure," Celeste forces a smile on her face. "I'll go see if I can get into a see a doctor right away."

***

"I can't believe the surgery was a success," Stacey smiles to Mac before she gives him a hug, relieved that everything is seemingly will get back to normal for Lex and Kent now.

Mac exits their embrace, trying not to think about Celeste's doctor appointment. "I hope that this is the start of putting this family back together. We have all been through far too much."

"I couldn't agree more," Stacey nods back to him. "Which is why, I wanted to talk to you about something."

Mac arches his eyebrow back to his daughter. "Well, you certainly have my attention," he folds his arms across his chest. "What is it, Stacey?"

"It's about Aunt Sabine," Stacey reveals to him. "You know, I think she's serious about staying here for a while. I know her track record hasn't been the best, but she really seems to want to make a presence in the family."

"I'm not sure I know where you're headed with this, darling."

"Daddy," Stacey comes up to him. "She's one of the best diamond cutters in the world! We could use her knowledge and expertise at Rockwell Mining! Imagine if she cut the diamonds in the new jewelry line, it could be huge for the company!"

Mac gets a smile on his face as he nods back to her. "You know what, that's a great idea! As soon as you're finished seeing your brother, why don't you put together a contract for me to review and I'll present it to Sabine to see what she says."

"Great," Stacey hugs her father. "I think this is exactly what the family, and Sabine needs right now."

Outside, Lydia fumes at the idea of Sabine working at Rockwell Mining. She doesn't know how her sister managed to convince Stacey to get her a job there, but she knows that this is typical Sabine; she's always looking for ways to work her way into her life.

"Not this time, Sabine," Lydia whispers to herself. "You won't get your hands on my family."

***

Lydia opens the door to Kent's hospital room and moves inside, looking over at her fiancé, who is sitting up in bed with a slight grin on his face. Seeing Kent is the very thing she needed to get her mind off the fact that Sabine is worming her way back into her life and family.

"How are you feeling?" She asks him as she comes up to him and sits down.

"Like I lost a piece of my liver," he laughs back to her, before he coughs a little.

"Do not make jokes," she grabs his hand and smiles back to him. "I'm so glad that you're going to be okay, Kent. You have no idea how worried I was about you."

"I'm fine," he replies to her. "Please, tell me how Lexington is? Was the surgery a success?"

"It appears to have worked," Lydia tells him. "You saved our son. The doctor expects him to wake up in a day or two."

"Thank God," he breathes a sigh of relief. "At least some good came from all of this."

"The doctor said you will be laid up for some time," she tells him. "Which means..."

"What?" He asks her, wondering what she is getting at. "What is it Lydia?"

"It just means that Blackmore Ltd will need someone to make all the decisions," she tells him. "I'm hoping that you will leave me in charge while you recover?"

"Of course," he replies to her without thinking of it. "You're the only one I trust with my company."

"I thought you'd say that," she purses her lips together as she turns and grabs her purse. She pulls out some paper work and grabs a pen. "I need you to sign this."

"What is it?" He asks her.

"It's your power of attorney. Without it, I can't do anything at Blackmore Ltd. It will only be until you're better, then everything can go back to the way it was."

Kent looks back at her. "You have thought of everything, haven't you?"

"That's what I do," she smiles back to him, as she takes the lid off her pen and passes it to him. He signs the papers and passes them back to her. "Thank you my love," she grins before she leans in and gives him a kiss on the lips.

***

"Thank you for running those tests so quickly," Celeste tells Dr. Chen, as she sits on a hospital bed, wearing just a hospital gown. She ran into the doctor and asked him if she could take a pregnancy test, which he did. Of course, he pulled her file and ran some other tests as well, even though she isn't sure why. "Can you explain what all the tests were?"

"Of course," Dr. Chen nods back to her, as a young nurse comes into the room and passes him some paper work. "We already got your results here."

"That was fast," Celeste replies to him.

"I know how much you wanted to know if you were having another child," he tells her, as he reads the documents in front of him before looking back at her. "And, the truth is, Celeste, you're not pregnant. And, you won't ever be pregnant again."

"I don't understand," Celeste shakes her head in confusion. "I knew it was a long shot that I was pregnant right now, but what do you mean that I'll never be pregnant again?"

"When you lost your baby," Dr. Chen begins to explain to her. "You fell down a flight of stairs, correct?"

"Yes, I did."

"At the time, I was so focused on you losing the baby, that I didn't see everything in your file. It is why I ran those extra tests today. When you fell down the stairs, you ruptured your fallopian tubes and there's no way that they can be repaired. I'm really sorry, but that means that you won't be able to have any more children."

Celeste covers her mouth in shock as tears fill her eyes. How is she going to tell Mac, who is so excited by the idea of having a baby with her, that they can never have another child?

"I'll give you a moment alone, but if you need anything, let me know," Dr. Chen replies to her as he stands up and moves out of the room.

***

Mac opens the door the Lex's hospital room and moves inside, walking up to his son and sitting next to him. He looks at the man he thought was his biologically for so many years and feels his eyes start to swell with water, seeing him in this state. The good news, for him, is that the surgery was a success, so Lex should make a full recovery.

"Lex," he whispers to him as he grabs his hand. "You going to be okay. You're going to wake up and we can put all of this madness behind us. You know what I'm really looking forward too? You coming back to work at Rockwell Mining. Together, you and I, we are a force unstoppable. We can do whatever we want there. You're the best son a guy could ask for. I just need you to wake up when you're ready so we can achieve all of our dreams and goals together, okay?"

At the doorway, Cole listens to Mac's talk with Lex. He feels his heart rip into a million pieces, hearing Mac tell Lex, who is not really his son, how great of a son he is. Cole quickly leaves, not been seen by Mac.

"You will survive this," Mac tells Lex. "You might not be a Rockwell by blood, but damnit, I raised you and you are a Rockwell. And Rockwell's, we always come out on top. Never forget that, son."

***

Cole rushes through the hospital, devastated by what he heard Mac tell Lex. He storms outside and gasps for some cold, fresh air to hit his lungs. Celeste immediately emerges from the doorway, having seen Cole bolt from the hospital, and needing some air herself having just learned that she can't have any more children.

"Cole, what is it? What's wrong? You were walking like a mad man," she tells him, coming up to him to see him.

Cole, who is leaning his hand up against the wall of the hospital, looks back at Celeste. He turns and pulls her closer to him. He leans in and kisses her passionately. She responds and he pushes her up against the wall, still kissing her. Finally, she pushes him away.

"What are you doing?" She asks, trying to her racing heart. With everything going on with her, this is the last thing that she needs to have happen. "We can't do this."

"We can," he whispers back to her as he leans in and kisses her again. "I want you so badly."

She looks into his eyes and leans in and kisses him back. "God help me," she whispers back to him. "I want you too."

Unbeknownst to both of them, Vivian has arrived at the hospital to check on Kent, and can see Cole, the man she just professed her love to, and Celeste kissing passionately.

***

A few minutes later, Cole walks into the hospital, after losing his arousal. He and Celeste both agreed that they couldn't do anything about their feelings right now because of where they were. Celeste went back to check on Mac, and Cole wanted to grab a coffee.

Vivian, who was waiting for him to reappear, walks up to him. "There you are," she tries to put a smile on her face, even though she is furious with him. She refuses to be played a fool, and Cole has clearly been playing her.

"Vivian," Cole replies, surprised to see her at the hospital. "I wasn't expecting to see you here."

"I came to see how Kent was," she tells him. "Regardless of our differences, he is still the father of my child. My Houston."

"Yea," Cole nods back to her. "Apparently, everyone will make a full recovery. Good news all around, hey?"

"All around," she fakes a laugh.

"Look, I'm actually glad that I ran into you," he tells her, pulling her aside. "Because, I never actually got to finish our conversation from earlier. I need to hear me out before you say anything. Can you do that?"

"I'm all ears, Cole."

"I've really enjoyed your time together," he tells her. "And, I appreciate that you expressed your feelings to me. But, the shooting, it's made me realize the bigger picture of my life. And..."

"Let me guess," she cuts him off. "I'm not a part of that picture?"

Cole shakes his head. "I don't mean to be rude or mean..."

"I get it," she lies to him. "You needed a distraction in your life and I was that distraction. Only, you never thought of my feelings. You never thought that I would actually fall for you, did you?"

"Vivian..."

"No," she cuts him off. "You used me, Cole Rockwell. God, what a fool I was. But you know, I will get the last laugh. Don't you worry about that. I will get you back for this."

"Vivian, please..."

But Cole's pleas fall on deaf ears as Vivian storms away from him.

***

Lydia walks into a waiting room and pulls out her cell phone from her bag. She quickly dials a number, hoping that it's not too late for the person she is calling.

"Yuri Kafelinkov," she says into her phone. "It's Lydia Rockwell. I hope this is a good time."

Yuri blows some cigar smoke from his mouth. "It's fine, Ms. Rockwell. What can I do for you?"

"I'm going to keep this brief," she says back to him. "I'm now in charge of Blackmore Ltd. And, I want Kremlin Diamonds under my umbrella. I want you to leave Rockwell Mining and join my team."

Yuri chuckles back to her. "And, tell me, Lydia, why would I do that?"

"Because," she purses her lips together. "Like it or not, you know I'm better in business than anyone at Rockwell Mining. You know that you can reach new nights with me as your partner."

"I'm curious to hear more," he reveals to her. "How about you come to Moscow and we talk about this in person?"

"Me? Come to Moscow?" Lydia asks, not expecting that response from him. How can she leave Kent right now with everything that he is going through?"

"That's the only way I would even consider this," Yuri replies to her. "So, what will it be, Lydia?"

Outside the room where Lydia is having her conversation, Lucinda listens with intent. She turns and shakes her head in disgust. "That woman has to pay for what she has done to this family," she whispers to herself. "And, I have just the way to make her pay."

***

"Great news about Lexington and Kent, isn't it?" Sabine asks Lydia as she walks into the waiting room, just as Lydia hangs up her phone call with Yuri. "Today couldn't have gone better."

Lydia rolls her eyes, quickly thinking back to overhearing Stacey tell Mac that they should offer Sabine a position at Rockwell Mining. In Lydia's mind, this is just another way that Sabine is trying to grab something that is Lydia's; Lydia should be used to be by own, because it has been happening her entire life, but she refuses to allow Sabine to come into her family. Not this time, not when she's working so hard to get her children back in her good graces.

"Yes, Sabine," Lydia smirks back to her. "It's been a great day for my family."

Sabine chuckles back to her. "You hate it, don't you?" she asks her sister. "You hate that the entire family is actually happy to see me. That they want me to stay around for a while."

"Keep telling yourself that," Lydia tells her. "They are tolerating you right now. They all know your song and dance. You show up. You infect us with your presence until some man with a big bank account walks by…then poof! You'll disappear like you always do."

"That's not fair! I've been trying to make a name for myself, and you know what? I have made the name. I don't need a man. Besides, you're only upset because all of your children hate you right now!"

"How dare you!" Lydia shrieks at her before she slaps her sister across her face. "Don't you ever speak to me about my children."

"You bitch," Sabine holds her cheek. She looks back at Lydia and slaps her back, hard across the cheek.

Lydia whips back up and lunges at Sabine! The two end up on the floor wrestling back and forth. Sabine finally stands up and grabs a plant vase and throws it at Lydia, who ducks out of the way. The vase shatters against the wall.

Lydia lunges at Sabine and scratches her face, causing Sabine to scream out in pain. Suddenly, two nurses walk in and see the fight.

"What is going on in here?" a nurse asks as they break up the fight.

Sabine moves some hair out of her face, as Lydia wipes her face from some sweat. "I'm so sorry," Sabine looks at one of the nurses.

"Yea, sorry," Lydia tells the other nurse. "Just some sisterly love."

"Well, this has been a great day," Mac tells Celeste as they enter the Rockwell mansion living room together. Celeste drops her bag on the sofa, not realizing that it opens slightly when she does. "Lex will make a full recovery. We should have a drink to celebrate."

"Yes, we should," Celeste replies to him, her mind on the fact that Cole kissed her and she revealed to him that she still wants him, and that she has learned that she can't have any more children. She doesn't feel like celebrating, but she has to put on the show for Mac, until she can tell him the truth. "How about some champagne?"

"That would be lovely," he tells her. "I think Ingrid has turned in for the night. Would you be so kind to go to the kitchen to get a bottle?"

"Yea, of course," she tells him before she kisses him on the lips quickly. "I'll be right back."

"I'll be here waiting," he replies to her. He watches her walk out of the room before he turns around and runs his hand through his hair. "Lex will make a full recovery! My family is slowly getting back to where we should be."

His eyes happen to dart down and see Celeste's open purse. His eyes open wider when by what he sees. He walks around the sofa and sits down, looking at the doorway to make sure that Celeste isn't coming back from the kitchen. He turns his attention back to her purse, as he leans down to investigate what he thought he saw. His eyes open in shock as he pulls out her birth control.

"What the hell?" He asks in shock as he holds her pills in his hand. "She's on birth control. She's been lying to me."
