Lydia Rockwell stands in Casper Ross' office with a look of shock on her face as the private investigator just finished telling her that Dane Ashby, years earlier, had an affair with a married woman. The affair resulted in a pregnancy and the child was given up for adoption. The child also happens to be in Kelsey Lake, which is the most stunning news of all to Lydia.

"Are you really going to stand there and tell me that Dane's illegitimate child is really here, in Kelsey Lake?" a stunned Lydia asks him quickly as Casper takes another sip of his brandy.

"I believe so," he nods back to her. "Look, I still need to cross some of my references to make sure that this is all true, but I wanted you to hear it from me before we did anything else, Lydia."

"No, I appreciate this," Lydia purses her lips together. "I told you that I needed to know everything about Dane Ashby, but we need to know the identity of this child. This could be the way that I can prevent Lucinda from marrying Dane."

Casper moves back to his desk and sets his brandy down as he listens to Lydia's theory. She asked him to investigate Dane because she is worried that Lucinda Rockwell will marry a man that she doesn't know anything about. Now that he has uncovered this, he knows that he has to continue to find out the truth.

"I will keep looking Lydia," he finally responds to her. "And once I find out the truth, the entire truth, I will let you know."

***

A short time later, Casper sits at his desk typing furiously into his laptop. He is determined to help Lydia uncover all of Dane's secrets since he feels like he is close to finding the long lost child. As he is so focus on his work, he doesn't hear the door to his office open.

Lexington Rockwell emerges in the office and sees Casper hard at work. He knows that he has been torn between Casper and Jaxson Williams over the last few weeks, but he has come to the realization that he was only attracted to Jaxson because he is his dead husband's, Jarek Williams, twin brother. He was channeling his feelings for Jarek onto Jaxson, and he realizes that he can't have a relationship with Jaxson as a result.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," Lex finally says something, which causes Casper to look up and see the man that he was developing feelings for.

"Lex," Casper stands up and looks back at him. "I'm…I'm afraid you are, actually."

"Oh, I was hoping we could talk?"

"It will have to wait," Casper tells him quickly. "I am deep into this case and I am so close to a breakthrough; I have stay focused on this. Can we meet up later?"

Lex uneasily sighs back to him. "Uh, yea, sure. Good luck with the case."

"Thanks Lex."

Outside, the storm has passed and the town of Kelsey Lake is starting to dry out from the intense rain storm that they had. Inside the executive office, Helena Grant quickly grabs her skirt and pulls up to her waist. She then grabs her shirt and puts it over her bra. She looks at the desk in the office and shuts her eyes for a moment, immediately going back to a short time ago when she and Nathan Lockhart were using it as a location to have sex on. She opens her eyes and can't believe that she let this happen; she and MacKenzie Rockwell are in such a good place with their relationship, but now, she could have ruined everything by sleeping with his brother.

"You look like you're deep in thought," Nathan breaks the silence in the room as he pull his pants up and zips up the zipper. "Are you okay?"

"I…I can't believe we just did this," she says as her lower lip trembles. "We could have ruined everything, Nathan."

"Don't worry about anything," Nathan replies to her quickly. "What happened in here between us can be just that, between us. No one else has to know."

"No one else can ever know," she whispers back to him. "I'm…I'm in love with your brother! You and I, this, it can never happen again!"

"I guess I need to work on my performance?" he chuckles back to her. "I'm kidding. I am about to marry Sabine, so I agree with you, Helena, this was a onetime thing. It will never happen again and no one will ever know about it."

Helena doesn't respond to him, instead she moves to the sofa and grabs her purse before she moves towards the door. "Congratulations on finishing the ring," she says as she turns at the doorway. "Sabine will love it."

Helena then leaves the room. Once the door is closed, Nathan gets a smirk on his face. "Sorry sweetie," he whispers to himself. "Soon everyone will know that you and I slept together. It will be the perfect way to get back at Mac and Sabine for their affair," he says with a chuckle.

Lydia moves into the living room in the Rockwell mansion and sets her purse down on the sofa. Her mind is racing over what Casper has told her about Dane's past. She just hopes that he can uncover the truth as soon as possible as she knows that Mac has informed her that Lucinda has decided to file the divorce papers from Mortimer.

She moves to the bar and pours herself a brandy and immediately takes a sip of it. She turns around when she hears someone move into the living room and sees Lucinda.

"Lucinda," Lydia purses her lips together. "I am…glad to see you."

Lucinda arches her eyebrow back to former daughter in law. "You are? Has hell frozen over?"

Lydia chuckles back to her. "I've been thinking about your engagement," Lydia reveals to her as Lucinda locks eyes with her. "Are you sure that divorcing Mortimer is the right thing to do? I…I am concerned about Nathan being in control of his medical affairs."

"Thank you for your concern," Lucinda quickly replies to her. "But yes, I am sure that this is the right thing to do. I have already filed the divorce papers; everything is in motion."

Lydia feels the blood drain from her face at Lucinda revelation. She realizes that she has to get the truth about Dane as soon as possible before this becomes a bigger mess than it already is.

"You look like you've seen a ghost, Lydia," Lucinda observes back to her. "Did I say something wrong?"

"Not at all," Lydia covers with her. "I guess I am just surprised, that's all. I just hope you know what you're doing."

"I know exactly what I am doing," Lucinda nods back to her. "Dane and I will be married, and that's what I want."

***

A short time later, Lydia opens the door to the study in the Rockwell mansion and sees Mac inside looking over some reports for Rockwell Mining. She closes the door and moves to the sofa where Mac is sitting down.

"I just saw your mother," Lydia reveals to him as she looks at her ex-husband. "She has filed the divorce papers; she is going to leave Mortimer so she can marry Dane. I thought she was just thinking about it!"

"Yes," Mac nods back to her. "She told me the same thing. It looks like this is really happening."

"I'm…I'm worried Mac," Lydia admits to him. "I am scared that Lucinda is making a huge mistake and there's not a damn thing that we can do to stop it."

"Have you uncovered anything about Dane in your investigation?"

"Nothing concrete, not yet at least," she tells him as she bites her lower lip. "And I am concerned that she will be divorced and remarried before anything is uncovered. Oh Mac, what are we going to do?"

Mac sighs back to her. "I think we have to trust that my mother knows what she is doing."

"That's the thing," she whispers back to him. "I don't think she has any idea of what she is about to do, Mac. And that scares me to my very core."

***

A short time later, Mac is in the living room of the mansion and about to pour himself a glass of white wine when he hears someone move into the room. He turns and gets a smile on his face when he sees Helena standing in the room.

"Well, this is a surprise," he says as he moves up to her and kisses her on the lips. "I was just about to open a bottle of white wine, do you want a glass?"

"Uh, sure," Helena replies to him quickly. She looks at Mac as he moves to open the bottle of wine and can't help but think back to how she and Nathan had sex earlier in the day. She is trying to calm her nerves and conscious but she can't deny that she keeps replaying it in her mind over and over again.

"Here you go," Mac moves back up to her with a glass in his hand. "Helena? Here's your wine."

"Sorry," Helena shakes her head as she comes back into present time. "I guess I was just lost in thought."

Mac arches his eyebrow back to her, noticing that she is acting differently than normal. "Is everything okay? You seem…distracted."

"I'm fine," Helena forces a smile on her face, even though she's lying to him. "I guess I am just thinking about a case at work."

"Ah, you have been putting in a lot of hours lately. Maybe you need a break?"

"You're right," Helena tells him quickly. "I do; and this one case is now over," she tells him as she thinks about how Nathan has finished the ring he was working on with Sabine. "So, I should have more time to focus on you, us and myself."

"I like the sound of that," Mac chuckles to her before he leans in and kisses her on her lips.

***

Nathan looks at the ring that he finished creating earlier in the day before he and Helena had sex as he stands in the main office of Rockwell Mining. He does think that the ring is beautiful; he almost wishes that he was going to give it to Sabine because he knows that she would love it. The truth is, however, he only used the ring as a way to spend as much time with Helena as possible. He knew that he would be able to seduce her and that they would end up having a torrid affair; he wanted to do this to ensure that he could get revenge on his brother and fiancé for their affair.

"I was here earlier but you weren't around," Sabine announces as she moves into the office, which causes Nathan to immediately put the ring into his pocket. "Is everything alright with you?"

"Yes, I'm fine darling," he forces a smile on his face, pretending to be happy to see his fiancé. "I've been in and out of meetings all day."

"Well I am glad that I caught you now that you're finished with your meetings. I just got back from my designer; my dress is ready, Nathan!" she explains to him, unable to hide her excitement.

"Really?" he asks her quickly as he nods back to him. "You know what that means then, don't you? It means that we can get married as soon as possible."

"You read my completely," she purses her lips together as she kisses him on the lips. "I can't wait to marry you, Nathan. I want the entire world to know how much I love you."

"The world will know everything that they deserve to know at our wedding," he winks back to her. "Absolutely everything."

"It wasn't too long ago that I never thought that I would be saying these words to you three," Vivian Blackmore's doctor explains to Houston and Kent Blackmore and Madison Stewart as they stand outside of her hospital room. "But Vivian has made such a great progress that she is going to be discharged later today."

Houston looks back at the doctor with surprise. "Really? You think she's strong enough to leave the hospital already?"

The doctor nods back to him. "I do," he replies to the family. "Of course, she will have homecare and she will have to continue with her physical therapy, but she is ready to go home."

"I…I can't believe this," Madi admits to everyone. "Just a few days ago, we thought she wasn't going to make it, and now, she is going home?"

"This is nothing short of a miracle," Kent tells everyone. "Doctor, we can't thank you enough for everything that you've done to Vivian."

"You're welcome, I am just glad that I was able to help. But honestly, this is all because of your, Mr. Blackmore. You're wedding to Vivian, that really seemed to help her and give her the courage she needed to pull through this."

Houston looks back at his father and smiles to him. "He's right Dad, you saved Mom's life. We owe everything that is happening to you marrying her; you're a hero!"

Kent uneasily chuckles back to everyone as he thinks about how Stacey Rockwell will react to this news as she is already upset that he married Vivian; now, she is going home, and Kent believes that Vivian will want him to be living with her all the time. The last thing he wants is for Vivian to suffer a setback if he tells her the truth about the wedding, but he also doesn't want to hurt Stacey. It suddenly dawns on Kent that he is, officially, between a rock and a hard place.

***

The following afternoon, Cole and Stacey Rockwell are sitting at the bar in the country club with some whiskey sours in front of them. The siblings agreed to meet so they could catch up as they both have had a lot going on in their lives lately and they are both still reeling from the fact that Houston Blackmore and Celeste Baldwin had an affair.

"Have you seen Celeste?" Stacey asks her brother before she takes a sip of her cocktail.

"A few times, yea," Cole nods back to her quickly. "She keeps telling me that her and Houston meant nothing."

"Houston has told me the same thing," Stacey reveals to him. "He really wants us to get back together."

"Are you thinking about reuniting with him?" Cole asks her in surprise. "I thought you were head over heels for Kent?"

Stacey sighs back to him. "I am, I mean, I was," Stacey tells him. "The truth is, Cole, that Kent is married to Vivian. I have no idea if that means that we don't have a future together anymore or not. But it does change everything."

"So because Kent is married to Vivian, which was your idea, Houston wants you two to get back together?" Cole asks her as she nods back to him. "Well, he is persistent, if anything."

"I have no idea what I am going to do," Stacey admits to him. "I can't deny that Houston and I have a very long history together, and a part of me will always love him, but so much has happened. It's just so complicated."

"Isn't it funny how our love lives always seem to be so…sticky?" Cole chuckles back to her. "I guess it's true what they say."

"What do they say?"

"The road to true love is never smooth or easy," he winks back to her. "No matter what you decide to do Stace, make sure you're putting your needs first. The men in your life will have to respect anything that you decide to do if you're following your heart."

***

A short time later, Celeste moves into the country club as she is seeking a strong drink. She is still trying to figure out how she can reunite with Cole. The fact that he went to her suite the night she was having sex with Houston tells her that he must still have cared about her; she just has to make him realize that her affair with Houston was only a onetime thing.

"How the hell am I going to convince him of that?" she asks herself as she sees Madison Stewart at the bar, waiting for her takeout order. She arches her eyebrow as she recalls that she has seen Cole and Madi kiss on a few occasions. If she wants to get back together with Cole, she is going to have to get rid of Madi from his life, but how?

"Hello Madison," Celeste says as she approaches the bar. "I am surprised to see you here; I would have thought you'd be at the hospital with your mother."

Madi turns and looks at Celeste. "My mother is going home today," she reveals to her. "I am here because I am picking up some takeout so we have something to eat when she gets home. She's been in the hospital for so long, there's nothing left in the fridge."

"I hadn't heard that Vivian was well enough to go home, you must be thrilled by that."

"I am, my entire family is thanking our lucky stars," Madi tells her. "We never thought that this would happen, but here we are."

"I am happy for you," Celeste says with a smile on her face. "But I do have to talk to you about something important."

Madi arches her eyebrow back to her. "What is this about?"

"Cole," Celeste quickly tells her. "He is in love with me, I hope you know that. He just…he has to realize that."

Madi chuckles back to her as she nods her head. "I should have known; look, Celeste, after everything that has happened with my mother, I really don't have time for this petty drama. Whatever happens, or happened, between you and Cole is between you two. Leave me out of it, okay?"

"I'd love too," Celeste glares back at her. "But that's hard to do when every time I turn around, you're locking lips with him."

"Cole is a grown man that can make his own decisions. If he wanted to be kissing you, he would be," Madi replies to her. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get this food home to my mother."

***

Kent puts another pillow behind Vivian's back as she sits on the sofa in the Blackmore mansion living room. He is doing everything he can to ensure that she is comfortable as she just got home from the hospital. After weeks of being there, he is glad that Vivian is home, where she belongs.

"Alright, alright," Vivian chuckles back to him. "Enough fussing over me. I am fine, I promise you."

"Are you sure? Can I get you anything at all?" Kent asks her as he sits next to her on the sofa.

"I am sure," she nods back to him. "But thank you. You, Madi and Houston have been so great throughout all of this."

"Of course," Kent smiles back to her. "We are all just so grateful that you're here, Viv. There were moments in the hospital that we thought this would never happen."

"I know," Vivian looks back into his eyes. "But this is all because of you, Kent. You saved me when you married me. You knew that this is what I wanted, what I've wanted for so long."

Kent forces a smile on his face as he thinks about how complicated the situation is because of his feelings for Stacey, but he knows that he has to keep that to himself. He looks back at Vivian, just as Houston moves into the living room. Houston pauses when he sees his parents in a close moment.

"I love you so much Kent," Vivian tells him, who gulps back to her. "I want you to know that your love, your willingness to marry me when you thought I was dying, it is what saved me. You gave me the strength to pull through."

Vivian pulls her husband into a hug, while Houston watches with a sly grin on his face, knowing that if this progresses, he will have a great chance at getting back together with Stacey.

"Drake, please watch Poppy, okay?" Stacey says from the backdoor of the guest house that she is living in that is on the Rockwell mansion estate grounds. She has lived there for a few years as she felt like she needed more space with her children. Her children, Drake and Poppy, are playing in the yard on the large jungle gym that she bought them.

She closes the door and moves back into the living room, where she moves to the bar to pour herself a drink so she can continue to think about what she wants for her future. She is trying to take Cole's advice and search her heart for what she wants for her future. Just as she is about to take a sip of her brandy, she hears the doorbell chime. She sets her glass down and moves to the door, where she sees Houston standing.

"Houston," Stacey says as he moves into the living room. "This is a surprise. Drake is outside playing with Poppy; do you want to go see him?"

"In a while," Houston turns and looks at the woman he loves. "I … I had to come see you."

She arches her eyebrow back to him. "What is it? What's happened now?"

"My mother is at home," he reveals to her. "Kent, Madi and I we, we just got her settled."

"You must be so relieved that this day is here."

"You have no idea," he says with a chuckle. "But Stace, there's more. My mom, she told my Dad that she loves him and that she believes the marriage saved her life. They were in each other's arms when I left."

Stacey feels her eyes swell with water. "I'm sorry," he continues to tell her. "I don't mean to hurt you; I just want you to know the truth, the full story as to what is happening. I don't know that my father will be that honest with you."

Stacey moves to the bar and picks up her brandy to take a healthy sip of it. "Stace, what's on your mind? What are you thinking?"

"I don't know," she admits to him in a whisper. "This is a mess, Houston. I…I gave Kent permission to marry another woman and now…I'm left out in the cold."

"I'll keep you warm now, Stacey," he moves closer to her. "You know that I want you, Stacey. I always have. And, I always will."

***

A short time later, Stacey parks her Porsche out front of the Blackmore mansion. After Houston told her that Vivian professed her love to Kent, she asked him to watch the kids so she could come and see Vivian and Kent herself. She has no idea what she is going to walk in on, but she knows that she wants to know, for sure, what is going on with Kent and Vivian.

She opens the front door and can hear voices in the living room. She slowly moves through the foyer and towards the living room. At the entrance to the living room, she can see Kent and Vivian on the sofa together, with some lunch that Madi brought them on the coffee table. A large fire is roaring in the fireplace.

"You have to stop thanking me," Kent chuckles to Vivian as they look at one another, not realizing that Stacey is behind them. "The kids and I, we are just glad that you're getting better."

"My husband," Vivian smiles back to him. "I love the sound of that, Kent. I am Mrs. Kent Blackmore again and this time, I won't do anything to ruin what we have. You mean, you mean so much to me."

Before Kent can respond, Vivian leans into him and kisses him on the lips. The sight is like a sucker punch to Stacey's stomach. She covers her mouth in shock as tears flood her eyes. She rushes out of the house, and once she is outside, she lets tears flow out of her eyes.

"I've lost him," she whispers to herself as tears flow down her cheeks. "I've really lost him."

"Thank you for agreeing to meet me for a drink today," Mac tells Chase Cooper as they sit at a table in the country club. "I…I know that this will sound unusual, but I need to know what is happening with my mother's pending divorce from Mortimer."

Chase picks up his scotch and takes a sip of it before he looks back at Mac. "You're right, that is unusual. Normally, I only discuss the case with my clients. In this case, that would be Lucinda and Dane."

"I appreciate that," Mac replies to him. "But I am concerned that my mother might be making a mistake with this divorce. Do you know how long this will take?"

"Honestly, I don't think it will take that long," Chase replies to him quickly. "Your mother, currently, has Mortimer's power of attorney, which means, she will be able to sign the divorce papers for both herself and Mortimer once they are drawn up. The process then, is in the hands of the court."

Mac sighs back to him. "I see."

"Is there a reason why you are concerned about this Mac?" Chase asks him. "I would have thought that you'd be happy for Lucinda to have found Dane and wanting to be with him."

"I am happy for her," he tells the lawyer. "I just have concerns."

"What is going on here?" Dyhannah Cooper asks as she moves up to the table where her fiancé and Mac are talking. "Chase, is everything alright?"

"Yes, everything is fine darling," Chase tells her as she sits next to him. "Mac was just…"

"Hi Dyhannah," Mac looks over at her. "I was just asking Chase about my mother's pending divorce, that's all."

Dyhannah looks back at Mac before she sternly looks at Chase. "You didn't tell him anything, did you?"

"Nothing really, why?" Chase asks her quickly.

"Because," Dyhannah hisses as she looks at Mac. "You could lose your license if you tell Mac anything about a case that he isn't involved in. Mac, you of all people, should know boundaries when it comes to these matters!"

"Don't worry about anything," Chase grabs her hand. "I didn't say anything that could get me in trouble."

"I hope not," Dyhannah replies to him before she looks back at Mac. "You need to learn your place, Mac. Please don't harass my fiancé again. If there's something you need to know about Lucinda's divorce, I suggest you ask her."

Mac gulps heavily as he didn't expect this reaction from Dyhannah. "Noted, I apologize if I overstepped."

Helena slowly steps off the elevator at Rockwell Mining and looks around when she is in the hallway. She can't believe that she is back at the office so soon after her tryst with Nathan, but she knows that she is there for a specific reason. She starts to move towards the main office, where she sees Nathan working behind the desk.

She takes a deep breath before she does half a knock and then moves into the office, closing the door behind herself.

"Helena," Nathan says as he stands up from behind the desk. "I…I wasn't expecting to see you."

"I know," she whispers back to him. "But…I had to see you."

Nathan arches his eyebrow back to her. "Are you okay? What's going on?"

Helena sighs back to him heavily. "I…I need your word, Nathan. I need you to promise me that you won't say anything to Mac about us making love."

Nathan uneasily nods back to her. "Look, I told you, I am going to marry Sabine," he replies to her. "That is my future. You and what we had, that was a momentary slip. Maybe my last hurrah as a single man, if you will."

"Very funny."

"I am not going to tell Mac that I slept with you," Nathan informs her quickly. "You, you have to get your conscious under control. It seems like that is the biggest issue here."

"You're right," she covers her mouth. "I am trying to stay strong but…"

"But what? Every time you close your eyes, you seem me? You feel me inside you again?"

"Nathan!"

"Okay, I'll stop," Nathan chuckles back to her. "But Helena, you're the one who has the problem here, not me. So you should figure out what you're going to do to keep quiet, because I won't tell anyone, not now, not ever."

"Hey, I just stopped by quickly to see how your Mom is doing?" Cole asks Madi as they stand in the foyer of the Blackmore mansion. Cole knows that Vivian was coming home earlier in the day and wanted to see how everything went.

"Thanks," Madi smiles back to him. "She is upstairs now taking a nap. I think coming home and having lunch took a lot out of here. She's home, but she still has a lot of recovering to do."

Cole nods back to her. "Still, it has to feel pretty incredible to have her back home after everything you guys went through."

"You have no idea," Madi chuckles back to him. "I actually ran into someone else earlier today."

"Oh yea? Who is that?"

"Celeste Baldwin," Madi reveals to him. "That woman never changes, does she?"

Cole uneasily chuckles back to her. "I don't know if that's a good thing or not. What did Celeste say to you?"

Madi gulps back to him. "She told me that you're still in love with her," she tells him as Cole rolls his eyes. "You and I, Cole, we have history. We've hurt each other in ways unimaginable. And yet, here we are, seemingly growing closer again. But I have to tell you, hearing Celeste tell me that you love her, I don't want to go on with this, whatever it is, with us if you have feelings for her. I don't want to get hurt again."

Cole looks back at her, not sure what to say. Instead, he pulls her closer to him and leans in to kiss her passionately on the lips. When they part, he looks into her eyes. "I didn't know how to respond with words, so I used actions."

Madi smiles back to him. "I think I got my answer," she winks back to him as he leans in and kisses her again.

***

A distract Stacey opens the door to the guest house and closes the door immediately. Her mind is racing over the fact that she just saw Vivian and Kent share a kiss at the Blackmore mansion. She can't believe that what Houston told her earlier is actually true; Kent and Vivian are seemingly back together, despite Kent's claims that he still cares for her.

"I've lost him," she whispers to herself. "I've really lost him this time."

"Stace, you're back," Houston announces as he moves into the living room. "Drake and Poppy are napping, I just got them down."

"Thank you and thank you for watching them," Stacey tells him as she moves to the bar to pour a drink.

"Of course, you never said where you went through," Houston moves closer to her, as he can see her start to tremble as she pours her drink. "Stacey, what is it? What's wrong?"

She turns to him and looks him in the eyes as a tear falls down her cheek. "Why are you crying? What's wrong?"

Stacey shakes her head before she wipes her eyes dry and then looks into Houston's eyes. For a moment, she's swept up in their history and thinks about all of their time together. Before she knows what she is doing, she is kissing him passionately on the lips, and Houston is more than ready to kiss her back.

"There you are," Lucinda announces as she moves into the living room of the Rockwell mansion. She can see Dane sitting in the large arm chair with a novel in his hands. "I was hoping to find you."

"I'm right here," Dane smiles as he sets the book down on the end table and stands up.

"I heard from Chase just a short while ago," Lucinda reveals to him as she pours a drink at the bar. "He is filing the divorce papers today. He believes by the end of the week I will be a free woman."

"That's wonderful news," Dane smiles back to her. "You know that this is what I want."

"Yes, I know," Lucinda turns to him before she takes a sip of her brandy. "I … I guess I need confirmation from you Dane that this is all legitimate."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, do you really love me? And, have you told me everything there is to know about you? I…I don't want to go through with this if you have hidden secrets that will ruin our relationship."

Dane nervously chuckles back to her. "Trust me Lucinda," he winks back to her. "Anything that you need you know about me, you already know. There are no hidden skeletons anywhere to be found."

"You better hope that's true," Lucinda warns him. "Because if I go through with this divorce and I find out something else down the road, there will be hell to pay, you can mark my words on that."

At the country club, Chase and Dyhannah sit at the table alone as Mac has left them. Chase takes a sip of his scotch before he looks over at his fiancé.

"That was quite the show," he looks at her with intent. "What was that all about?"

"I don't know what you're referring too," Dyhannah slyly responds to him.

"You're attitude with Mac earlier," Chase reminds her. "What's gotten into you?"

"Nothing," Dyhannah sternly tells him. "I just don't want you to tell Mac anything that could hurt your career. The last thing we need after everything we went through with Deacon is for you to lose your legal license."

"I wish you'd trust me a little bit more," Chase admits to her. "I've been doing this for a very long time. I know what I can say and what I can't say."

"I know darling," Dyhannah replies to him quickly. "And it's not that I don't trust you, it's the Rockwell's that I don't trust."

Chase arches his eyebrow back to her. "Really? Why is that?"

"They are ruthless," she tells him quickly. "And no matter what, they always get what they want, no matter who they hurt in the process. I just don't want you to fall victim to them."

"I appreciate that," Chase tells her. "But like I said, I didn't say anything that will get me in trouble."

"Good," Dyhannah nods back to him. "I just want this case to be over with so we never have to deal with those people again."

"I got your message," Lydia says to Casper as she moves into this office at the private investigator's firm. Lydia recalls getting a text message from the investigator telling her he had an update on his search into Dane's past. "What have you uncovered?"

Casper stands up from behind his desk and moves towards Lydia. "After we spoke yesterday, I continued to do some research into this child that Dane had, and I was right; his child, his daughter, is in Kelsey Lake."

Lydia shakes her head in disbelief. "I can't believe you were able to uncover this, Casper. You're incredible!"

Casper chuckles back to her. "Thanks," he nods back to her. "I am pretty good at my job."

"Well, don't keep me waiting," Lydia presses him. "Who is this woman? Who is Dane's long-lost daughter?"

"Her name is Dyhannah," Casper reveals to Lydia, who gasps back in shock. "Dyhannah Cooper."
