"I…I don't think I actually heard you correctly," a stunned MacKenzie Rockwell stutters back to his former wife, Lydia Rockwell, as they stand in the main office of his family company, Rockwell Mining. His mind is spinning over Lydia's revelation that Dyhannah Cooper is his half-sister. He knows that Lydia had his father, Dane Ashby, investigated because she felt like his mother, Lucinda Rockwell, was moving into an engagement with a man that she barely knows. Lydia uncovered that, years earlier, Dane had an affair with a married woman that resulted in a pregnancy; they gave the child up for adoption, but Lydia's private investigator, Casper Ross, was able to uncover the identity of that child, and she is Dyhannah Cooper. He knows that Dyhannah hasn't always been the kindest person to him, or his family, so the news is jarring, to say the least. "Dyhannah Cooper is my father's long-lost daughter?"

"According to my investigator, yes," Lydia nods back to him as she moves to the bar and pours two brandy's. She passes one to Mac before she takes a sip of her drink. "You look like you need this more than I do."

"I just don't believe this," he shakes his head back to her as he takes another sip of his brandy. "Dyhannah Cooper is … my half-sister? I don't know what Dane or Lucinda are going to say about this."

"Do you think that this is enough to change Lucinda's mind about marrying Dane?" Lydia asks him quickly.

"I have no idea," Mac shrugs his shoulders back to her. "It does beg the question about what else Dane could be hiding from my mother."

"That was my thought as well," Lydia nods back to him. "If he is lying about this, what else is he lying?"

"I have no idea but one thing that is for sure," Mac locks eyes with Lydia. "Is that we have to tell my mother the truth. Lucinda needs to know about Dane's past before she marries him."

"The Christmas tree is lovely this year," Dane smiles over to Lucinda, who is looking at the tall Douglas Fir tree that is beautifully decorated in the living room of the Rockwell mansion. Soft Christmas music is playing in the background and Lucinda slowly takes a sip of her eggnog, which is laced with just the right about of rum before she turns to face her fiancé with a smile on her face.

"Yes, it certainly is," Lucinda replies to him quickly. "I must confess that I simply love the holiday season. It is my favorite time of the year."

"Does that mean that you might want to marry me this Christmas?" Dane asks her with a twinkle in his eye.

Lucinda chuckles back to him before she takes another sip of her eggnog. "I don't think that's the best idea, Dane. I still want to marry you, of course, but I would rather wait until the New Year. We have enough going on right now to worry about putting together a wedding."

"Alright," Dane sighs back to her. "As long as the new year we become husband and wife."

Before Lucinda can respond, Chase Cooper appears in the living room, having just arrived at the mansion. "I hope I am not interrupting," Chase announces as Dane and Lucinda look over at the lawyer. "But I have some news for you."

Lucinda gulps back to Dane before she looks over at Chase. "What news, Chase? What has happened now?"

"I need to see the highest police detective in this place!" a panicked Sabine Andrews demands from the front desk clerk at the police station, while Deacon Cooper stands next to her. Her heart is racing a million miles per minute as when she went into her son's, Jumper, room but he was not in his crib. She asked all the staff at the Rockwell mansion if anyone had seen him, but no one knew anything, including the nanny. She is now worried that someone has taken her son and she has no idea where he is or if he is safe.

Helena Grant appears behind the clerk and puts her hands on her hips as she looks back at Quinn and Deacon. "What is all this about? You're creating a scene in my police station?"

"You don't understand," Deacon replies to her quickly. "A child is missing, and we need help."

"He's right," Quinn's lower lip trembles. "My son, he's missing! And you, you have to find him!"

Helena sighs back to them. "Alright, come into my office and tell me everything that happened," Helena tells them as Quinn and Deacon move around the reception desk and towards Helena's office.

***

A couple of hours later, Quinn is sitting in the country club with a whiskey in front of her. Her mind is still racing over where Jumper could be. She is feeling like a complete failure as a parent; her son isn't even 6 months old, and she has already found a way to lose him.

"Where are you?" she asks herself as tears flood her eyes. "Who could have done this?"

"Quinn? I got your message, what's happened?" Sabine Andrews asks as she rushes up to her daughter, who stands up and hugs her mother immediately. "Baby, you're crying? What is going on?"

Quinn starts to weep into her mother's arms for a moment. "It's…" she gasps for air as they look into each other's eyes. "It's Jumper…he's…he's missing."

"What?" Sabine gasps back to her in horror, as the lights in the garland turn on and start to twinkle in the dining room. "How is this possible?"

Quinn shakes her head back to her mother. "I…I wish I knew," she tells her as they sit across from each other and Quinn takes a sip of her scotch. "I went to check on him after your wedding to Nathan and he was gone. He wasn't in his crib! I…I asked all the staff, and no one knew anything. Deacon and I just got back from seeing Helena Grant; she's going to look into this."

"He's three months old!" Sabine looks back at her daughter. "He couldn't have gone far, don't worry, we will find Jumper, Quinn. We will find your son."

Stacey Rockwell slowly paces back and forth in the guest house that is on the grounds of the Rockwell Mansion. After she had her second child, Poppy, she moved into the guest house so she could have more room to raise them. Her mind, however, is racing about her current romantic situation; she and Kent Blackmore had finally found a way to be together, but after Vivian Blackmore's car accident, she was in a coma and on her death bed. Stacey, then, suggested to Kent that he marry Vivian before she died because she always loved him. Kent did, and to everyone's surprise, Vivian made a full recovery, which meant Stacey was left out in the cold. To add on top of that, Houston Blackmore, the father of Stacey's son, Drake, continued to pressure her to reunite. After Stacey witnessed Vivian kissing Kent, she fell back into Houston's bed.

"What have I done?" she whispers to herself as she moves to the bar and pours herself a brandy before she looks over at her Christmas tree. "By sleeping with Houston, I have just made everything so much more complicated. I shouldn't have done that."

Before she can say anything else, she hears a knock on her front door. She sets her brandy down and moves to the door. She sighs when she sees Houston standing on the other side of the door.

"Come in, it's cold out there," Stacey tells her former fiancé. "What brings you by, or do I have to ask?"

"I haven't really seen you since Nathan and Sabine's wedding," Houston replies to her quickly. "The day that we made love."

"Everything has been such a whirlwind, Houston," she replies to him. "I don't know where my head or my heart is."

"I've been telling you," Houston looks into her eyes. "Kent marrying Vivian is a sign that you and I belong together. Us being together like that is just proof of that."

Stacey shakes her head back to him as her eyes fill with water. "I just need time to figure this out because, despite everything, I still care about Kent."

Houston gulps back to her. "And I care about you; and I am single and available, my father is not. Just remember that, Stacey."

Cole Rockwell moves into the country club and walks towards the bar, as he is desperate for a drink so he can try to figure out how he can get Madison Stewart back in his life. He knows that he and his former fiancé were growing closer again, including taking the step of making love again. While this was happening, Celeste Baldwin was trying to convince him to reunite with her. After Nathan and Sabine's wedding, Celeste approached Cole and striped in front of him; he couldn't help but look at her naked body, but Madi approached and demanded to know what was happening.

He takes a healthy drink of his whiskey sour while he wonders how he can make Madi realize that he and Celeste are over; of course, after she saw that Celeste was naked, she stormed off, furious with the situation. And, if he's honest, he can't blame her because he would have been upset had the roles been reversed.

"I have to make you understand that I want to be with you," he whispers to himself before he takes another sip of his whiskey sour.

"Cole," a voice calls out from behind him. He spins around in the bar stool and sees Madi standing behind him. "I…I didn't think I'd run into you today."

"Why don't you sit down and join me?" he asks her as she moves to the stool next to him. "I've been meaning to talk to you about what you saw after the wedding."

"You mean, you looking at Celeste's naked body?" she uneasily chuckles before she orders herself a cocktail from the bartender. "It's fine, Cole. I mean it, you are a man, and you have a history with Celeste; it's only natural that you'd look at her."

"It is all of those things," Cole nods back to her. "But it was, honestly, just another attempt on her part to try to get back together with me. I have told her time and time again that you're the one that I want to be with. The only body that I want to see naked, is yours."

Madi turns to him and feels her face flush. "Is that so?"

"It's true."

"I…I wish I could believe you, Cole," she sighs back to him. "But after everything that has happened between us, you have to understand why I am apprehensive."

"I get it," Cole nods back to her. "But I am telling you, I want to be with you. I don't care if I ever see Celeste Baldwin again."

***

A short time later, Houston and Celeste are sitting across from one another in the country club with a bottle of red wine on the table, while they nibble on some almond crusted shrimps. Christmas music continues to play softly in the country club, to create a nice holiday atmosphere.

"I can't believe your luck," Houston chuckles to his friend before he takes a sip of the red wine that is in his glass. "Just as you strip down, Madi showed up? That must have ruined the moment completely."

Celeste sighs back to him. "You have no idea," she replies to him. "Madi ran off upset, and Cole, he went after here. I was left standing there, naked, and completely embarrassed."

"But," Houston looks back at her with intent. "Before Madi arrived, what was Cole's reaction?"

Celeste purses her lips into a smile. "His eyes were filled with lust," she reveals to him. "He wanted me, I know he did."

"Then you didn't lose in the situation," Houston tells her. "You should continue to pursue him, Celeste. You might still end up with him."

Celeste chuckles back to him. "I appreciate your support considering Madi is your half-sister."

"Madi is a big girl, and I don't think Cole Rockwell is the man for her," Houston says. "I say go for it, Celeste. Give yourself the best Christmas present in the world; fight for the man you love."

"Hey, I don't want you to overdo it, okay?" Kent Blackmore chuckles as he moves into the living room of the Blackmore mansion and sees his wife, Vivian Blackmore, putting some more decorations on the large Christmas tree. He knows that she is still recovering from her car accident and doesn't want her to have any setbacks; it is a large part of the reason as to why he hasn't told her that he only married her because she was on her deathbed. The truth is, he is still in love with Stacey, and had it not been for her suggestion to marry Vivian, they wouldn't be husband and wife right now.

"I'm fine," Vivian chuckles back to him. "Besides, I think that was the last of the decorations. I think the tree looks stunning now, don't you?"

"It looks great every year, but I guess after the year we have had, it looks even more magical this year."

"That's exactly what I was thinking," Vivian turns to face him. "I guess I have a newfound appreciation for life considering I almost died this year."

"Let's not rehash that, okay?" Kent replies to her quickly. "Let's just focus on the fact that you made a full recovery and you're going to live a very long, and happy life."

"It will be happy because I have the best husband in the world," she smiles as she moves up him. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him on the lips. "You're the best, Kent."

Kent chuckles back to her. "I try," he winks back to her. "So, what do you want to do this Christmas?"

"Honestly?" Vivian replies to him quickly. "I want the family together. You, me, Houston, Madison, hell even Chase and Dyhannah," she chuckles to him. "I just want to be with the ones I love."

Kent smiles back to her. "I think we can arrange that, Viv."

***

The following morning, Kent is sitting at the bar in the country club with a laced coffee in front of him. He wanted some alcohol because his mind is racing about how he can tell Vivian the truth about their marriage; he knows that she will be devastated by the truth, but he also doesn't want to continue to lie to her.

"Kent, what are you doing here?" Stacey asks as she moves up to the bar. "Where is Vivian?"

Kent turns to face the woman that has his heart. "She had some Christmas shopping to do this morning, so I came here. I guess I was hoping to clear my head."

Stacey sits next to him before she looks back at him. "How are you? And don't try to lie to me, I can tell when you lie."

He chuckles back to her. "I'm…surviving," he admits to her. "I know that Vivian is better, but it is Christmas. I don't know how to tell her that I want out of the marriage without ruining the entire holiday season for her."

"You want out of the marriage?"

Kent looks back at her. "Of course, I do," he says. "You're the woman I love, Stacey. That hasn't changed. Vivian, she thinks that I am in love with her. But you know the truth; I only married her because we all thought she was dying."

"I know," Stacey finds herself nodding back to him. "It's just…it's all so complicated."

"I love you," Kent replies to her quickly. "There's nothing complicated about that. It's just…leaving this marriage might be more difficult than I first imagined. But I will, even if it's the last thing I do."

"Alright, so, we are going to walk into the living room and just tell her the truth?" Lydia asks Mac as they stand in the foyer of the Rockwell Mansion. Lydia knows that Lucinda and Dane are in the living room and they want to tell her about Dane's past and the fact that Dyhannah Cooper being his daughter.

"I don't see that we have any other choice, do you?" Mac sighs back to her. "My mother has to know the truth before she finalizes her divorce from Mortimer. Maybe she can put an end to this all?"

"I worry that Lucinda won't take the news well," Lydia admits to him. "I barely slept last night thinking about it."

"Me too," Mac tells her. "Which is why we have to tell her the truth."

"Well, let's go then," Lydia says back to him. "Let's get this over with."

They move towards the living room and see Lucinda pouring herself, and Dane, cups of coffee at the bar in the room.

"Good morning mother," Mac announces to her, which causes Lucinda to turn around.

"Morning," she smiles back to him. "I'm glad that you're here this morning. Dane and I have some news that we have to share with you."

Mac uneasily looks back at Lydia, who gulps. "What do you have to tell us?" Lydia replies to her.

"Dane and I, we got a visit from Chase Cooper yesterday," she reveals as she takes a sip of her coffee. "And, it seems like my divorce to Mortimer is finalized. I am no longer married to him."

Mac feels the blood drain from his face, realizing that he might be too late to save his mother from Dane's past. He looks at Lydia with intent, which she realizes that he doesn't want to tell Lucinda the truth now.

"I…I don't know what to say," Mac admits to her. "It feels like the end of an era, but…congratulations."

"Thank you," Dane chuckles to him. "This is what we wanted because now, your mother and I, we can be married. This is a good thing!"

"Like Mac said," Lydia nervously replies as she forces a smile on her face. "Congratulations."

***

"I can't believe this," Mac says as he and Lydia storm into the study at the mansion, having just left Lucinda and Dane to their coffees in the living room. "We didn't get to Lucinda in time!"

"I'm not sure why this is still such an issue," Lydia admits to him as she moves to the bar and pours two brandy's. "We can still tell Lucinda the truth; it might prevent her from marrying Dane."

"I'm not worried about that," Mac says back to her before he takes a sip of the brandy that she passes him. "It's Nathan that I am concerned about."

"Nathan? What could he possibly do with this information?"

"I have no idea," Mac sighs back to her. "But, he will be become Mortimer's primary care giver now that the divorce is finalized. He could do anything he wanted to Mortimer; and while, Mortimer isn't my biological father, I don't want anything to happen to him. I still consider him my father, after all."

"You don't really think that Nathan would do something to harm his father, do you?" Lydia asks him as she takes a sip of her brandy. "Actually, never mind. Considering everything Nathan has done to you, his own brother, since he's been in town, I'm scared to think of what he could do to Mortimer."

"Good, then we agree," Mac replies to her. "No one can know that Dyhannah Cooper is Dane's daughter. At least not for now."

***

Meanwhile, downstairs in the living room, Lucinda puts her coffee cup down on the coffee table before she looks over at Dane.

"Levy should be here any time," she tells her fiancé. ."We have to tell him that he will officially be taking over as Mortimer's personal care giver."

"Are you concerned about his reaction?" Dane asks her quickly.

"No, I have to trust that my son will always do what is best for his father," Lucinda replies to him. "That's why I agreed to the divorce; I have to trust him."

"Trust is always important," Nathan announces as he moves into the living room. "Good morning mother, good morning Dane."

"Morning," Lucinda stands up from the sofa and moves up to hug him. "Thank you for coming to see us this morning."

"Of course," Nathan smiles back to her as they exit their embrace. "What is this all about?"

"As you know," Lucinda begins to explain to him. "Dane proposed to me, and I accepted."

"Yes, have you made more wedding plans?"

"We are slowly," Dane tells him.

"Before we could get married, I did have to divorce Mortimer," Lucinda looks back at her son. "The divorce, it is finalized. We just found out yesterday."

"I, actually, never thought about that," Nathan admits to her. "But we have known that Mortimer is sick and will never get better, so this makes sense."

"Thank you for understanding," Lucinda purses her lips together. "However, as his wife, I had been in charge of his medical care. I lost that when I divorced him."

Nathan arches his eyebrow back to her. "I'm not sure where this is going."

"Since you are his son," Lucinda looks back at him. "You will take over as his personal care giver. You are now in charge of your father's health care."

Lydia sits at the bar in the country club with a champagne cocktail in front of herself. She is trying to think of a way to help Mac, and Lucinda, to get out of this jam, even though Lucinda has no idea that she is in a pickle.

"There must be someway that we can protect Lucinda and Mortimer," she whispers to herself before she takes a sip of her cocktail, as the Christmas music continues to softly play in the background.

"Mom, hi," Lexington Rockwell says as he moves up to his mother. "Is everything okay? It's early to be drinking?"

"Oh, nothing for you to worry about," she chuckles back to him as he sits next to her. "What brings you by?"

"I was actually looking for a drink myself," Lex admits to her. "I've had been struggling with a decision and when I finally made it, I realized that it might have been too late."

Lydia arches her eyebrow back to him. "That's vague, what are you talking about, exactly?"

"I was falling in love with someone," Lex reveals to her, as he thinks about Casper Ross. "And when I realized that, he was gone. He must have left town."

"Who was this man?" Lydia asks him. "Maybe we can track him down?"

"Casper Ross," Lex reveals to her, as Lydia's eyes open wider in shock. "The private investigator. I went to his office, and it was closed. He left without even saying goodbye."

Lydia takes another long sip of her cocktail before she shuts her eyes and thinks back to a few days earlier.

"Now that I've given you this information on Dane, what's next?" Casper asked Lydia as they stood in his office.

"No one can know that I investigated Dane," Lydia told him quickly. "That means that you might have to disappear for a while, if that's okay?"

"But my company? My business? I'd lose money!"

"Whatever loss in compensation there is, I will cover it for you," Lydia told him. "I just don't want Lucinda, Dane or Dyhannah to come after in anyway. In some ways, this is for your own protection."

"Okay, I understand," Casper nodded back to her. "I'll leave as soon as I can, and we will be in touch as to when you think it is safe to return."

"Mom? Mom, where did you just go?" Lex asks his mother, causing Lydia to snap back into reality.

"I…I guess I was just thinking that I want you to be happy," Lydia turns to Lex and forces a smile on her face. "After everything that you've been through, you deserve some happiness."

A short time later, Celeste walks down the stairs from the second level of the country club where her suite is, and she moves towards the dining room. She is famished so she is hoping to grab a bite to eat. As she moves closer, the twinkling Christmas catch her eyes; she loves the holiday season, so the sight brings a smile to her face.

As she waits for the hostess, she can't help but notice Madison Stewart sitting at a table alone. She arches her eyebrow as she knows that Madi wasn't happy with her for trying to seduce Cole at Nathan and Sabine's wedding, but Celeste refuses to give up on Cole. She finds herself approaching Madi's table.

"I think we need to get a few things straight, don't you?" Celeste says as she sits across from Madi.

Madi groans at the sight of Celeste. "Ugh, what the hell do you want? I was enjoying some quite time, Celeste."

"I saw that you were alone and thought that it would be a good chance for us to get some things straight," Celeste tells her as she purses her lips together. "This is about Cole, of course."

"You still want him, I know," Madi replies to her. "But, according to Cole, he wants nothing more to do with you."

"Did you see the way he looked at me when I was naked in front of him? He still wants me, Madison. That is very much clear."

"He's a man sweetie," Madi huffs back to her. "Any guy would have looked at you, he's not dead. That doesn't mean that he wants you."

"You're fooling yourself if you believe that," Celeste chuckles back to her. "Cole will never get me out of his system, that much I can be sure of."

"Do me a favor okay?" Madi glares back at her. "Leave me alone; if you see me, walk the other direction. I have nothing to say to you and I don't want to be a part of your sick and twisted games."

Celeste chuckles back to her. "That much I can do," she winks back to her as she stands up from the table. "Just remember what I said: Cole will never get me out of his system. Not ever."

***

Sabine steps off the elevator at the Rockwell Mining and moves towards the main office. When she opens the door, she sees Cole sitting behind the large desk, typing into his laptop.

"Don't you ever take a break, even at Christmastime?" she chuckles as she moves closer to the desk.

"Sabine, hey," Cole stands up from the desk. "I am almost done some last-minute reporting before I shut down for the holidays. How are you?"

"Oh, I'm surviving," she admits to him. "I guess I am looking to start my life again, since I left the mansion after the wedding to Nathan was a bust. I still can't believe that he slept with Helena Grant."

"Look, I know it hurts," Cole tells his Aunt. "But to me, I think you got off lucky. You deserve so much better than to be Nathan's wife."

"I appreciate you saying that," Sabine smiles back to him. "Have you heard about Jumper?"

"I did, I hope that Quinn gets her son back soon," Cole shakes his head back to her. "Especially since it would be Jumper's first Christmas."

"From your lips to God's ears. What is going on with you? Are you back together to Madison?"

Cole uneasily chuckles back to her. "I hope so," he nods back to her. "And this time, no matter what, I will make our relationship work."

***

"How was shopping yesterday?" Kent asks Vivian as he sits next to his wife in the living room of the Blackmore mansion. "Did you get everything you need for Christmas?"

"I think so," Vivian replies to him as she moves some of her hair behind her ear. "I might need to grab a couple of more stocking stuffers, but that's about it."

"Ah, then it sounds like it was successful then," Kent tells her, as she nods back to him. "That's good, Viv. It seems like we are going to have a very Merry Christmas, then."

"I really hope so," Vivian informs him. "I spoke to both Madison and Houston and they will both be here on Christmas Day."

"That's how it should be," Kent says back to her. "After the year we have had, having the entire family together will be really nice."

At the entry way to the living room, Houston freezes when he sees his parents together on the sofa. He watches them closely for a moment.

"I couldn't agree more," Vivian smiles back to Kent as she grabs his hand. "And, this is the first Christmas that we are spending as husband and wife in years. That will make it so magical."

Kent chuckles back to her. "We have to enjoy this Christmas for everything it's worth, Viv. That's for sure."

Houston watches them as Vivian pulls him into a hug and smiles to himself. "Stacey needs to know that my parents are growing closer," he whispers to himself. "She has to know that she doesn't have a future with Kent, but with me. I might be able to give myself the best Christmas present in the world!"

Mac sits at the bar of the country club with a rum and eggnog in front of him. His mind is racing over the fact that he has learned that Dyhannah is Dane's long-lost daughter. Of course, he can't tell Lucinda this because she has officially divorced Mortimer and he is worried that Nathan might use the secret to his advantage.

He turns his head and happens to see Dyhannah Cooper walking down the stairs from the second level of the club. Immediately, he remembers his last encounter with her, where she was livid with him because Mac was asking Chase questions about Lucinda's pending divorce. Dyhannah believed that Mac was crossing a line and that Chase could have been in trouble for breaking client confidentiality. The encounter left a bad taste in Mac's mouth, but now that he knows that she is his half-sister, he knows that he must try to bridge whatever the gap is between them.

"Dyhannah, please come join me for a drink?" Mac calls out to her, as Dyhannah looks over at Mac and tries to not let him see her roll her eyes.

"Mac, this is a surprise," she says as she moves up to the bar. "What do I owe the pleasure of being offered a drink?"

Mac uneasily chuckles back to her as she sits next to him. "Well, I was thinking about the last time I saw you," he reveals to her. "You assumed that I was trying to get confidential information from Chase, and you weren't happy with me."

Dyhannah takes a sip of her rum and eggnog. "The last thing that my fiancé needs is to be disbarred because he broke client confidentiality. You have to understand this from my perspective."

"I do understand," Mac sighs back to her. "But I would never do anything to jeopardize Chase's career. Chase is a good man, and he has always been good to me."

"Good, you better keep it that way," Dyhannah looks back at him with intent. "Because if you do anything to hurt me or my family, you will answer to me. And you do not want to cross me. Thanks for the drink, MacKenzie."

Mac sighs to himself as Dyhannah walks away from the bar. "This is going to be more difficult than I thought."

***

"What the hell are you doing here?" Nathan asks as he opens the door to the main office at Rockwell Mining and he spies Sabine pouring herself a drink at the bar. "You shouldn't be here, Sabine. We've said everything there is to say to one another."

Sabine slowly turns to face her former fiancé before she takes a sip of the brandy that she just poured. "I know that we are over, Nathan. The last thing I want is to reunite with you. You showed your true colors."

"Then what brings you here? Why did you think that I'd want to see you?"

"Because," Sabine nervously looks back at him. "While you were announcing to the world that you fucked Helena Grant, someone broke into the Rockwell mansion and kidnapped my grandson," Sabine reveals to him.

"Ah, yes, I did hear that Jumper is missing," Nathan says back to her quickly. "I am still not sure what your grandson's disappearance has to do with me, Sabine."

"Nathan, we are over, but surely you have a heart. You're a powerful man with a lot of connections," Sabine tells him. "I'm hoping that you can do something, anything, to help me get my grandson back."

Nathan uneasily chuckles back to her. "I'm not sure what you want me to do, Sabine. I can't wave a magic wand and make Jumper reappear."

"So, you're not going to help me? You're not going to help save an innocent baby?" Sabine asks him, stunned by how cold he is. "You know what? I should have known that you're a cold-hearted bastard. Merry Christmas you son of a bitch!"

***

"I'm glad that you're both here," Deacon says as he moves into Dyhannah's suite at the country club. He can see Chase sitting on the sofa in the suite while he puts his coat down on the chair at the desk. "I have some news that you need to hear from me."

"Are you alright, darling?" Dyhannah asks him out of concern. "You're not ill or anything, are you?"

"No, nothing like that."

"Then what is going on son?" Chase asks him next. "You sound…desperate…in your voice."

Deacon gulps back to him. "The other day, at Nathan and Sabine's wedding, someone, and we don't know who, broke into the Rockwell mansion."

"Oh dear," Dyhannah rolls her eyes. "Are they missing one of their hideous vases?"

"No," Deacon looks back at her with intent. "Something far more precious was taken. Jumper was kidnapped, Quinn's son is missing."

"What?" Chase gasps back to his son. "Someone took Jumper? But who, and why?"

"That's what we need to find out," Deacon sighs back to him. "And poor Quinn; she's a mess not knowing where her son is, or if he is safe or not."

"Don't worry baby," Dyhannah moves closer to him and puts her hand on his shoulder. "You will find that baby, I know you will."

Quinn paces back and forth in Helena's office at the police department. She has a scheduled meeting with the police detective, who is seemingly running late. Quinn can feel her heart race inside her chest and her palms are sweating a little as she waits Helena. She just hopes that the police detective is able to give her a Christmas miracle and tell her where her son is.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Helena says as she opens the door to the office and moves inside. "I had a fire that I couldn't put out quick enough."

"I need to know what you've uncovered," Quinn ignores Helena's excuse for being late. "Please tell me that you have found my son!"

"I haven't found Jumper yet," Helena replies to her. "However, I am about to receive the security footage from the Rockwell mansion on the day that he disappeared."

"The day of the wedding," Quinn gulps back to her. "Where my mother's fiancé announced that he had slept with you."

"That's water under the bridge," Helena waves her hand back to her. "My personal business will not impact my search for your son."

"I hope not," Quinn looks back at her. "Because every second that we don't find my son, the more worried I become."

The next morning, Mac moves into the country club looking go grab some breakfast before he finishes up some business before the Christmas break. He loves the holiday break because he has always loved Christmas. As he moves to the dining room, he can't help but notice Dyhannah sitting at the bar.

"Well, here goes nothing," he whispers to himself as he moves up to Dyhannah. "Good morning, Dyhannah."

Dyhannah sighs back to him, not thrilled that Mac is, once again, reaching out to her. "Good morning."

"Look, I'm glad I ran into you," he tells her as he sits next to her. "I feel like you and I have gotten off on the wrong foot, and I'd like to make that right."

Dyhannah chuckles back to him. "You would, huh? And how would you like to do that?"

"By offering you a position at Rockwell Mining," Mac stuns her as she looks back at him in surprise. "I know you're working at Blackmore Ltd, but it's time you come to the company that is the true leader in diamonds! What do you say? Come work with me and my family?"

"I say," Dyhannah says as she picks up her mimosa. "That would rather rot in hell then work for you and the Rockwell's. So, thank you Mac, but I'll pass. I will not leave Blackmore Ltd. for Rockwell Mining."

Meanwhile, in the dining room of the country club, Lydia and Sabine sit across from one another as they are catching up.

"So, there's still no word on Jumper?" Lydia asks her sister before she puts a piece of her bacon into her mouth.

"No," Sabine replies to her quickly. "Quinn went to Helena yesterday for an update and apparently she was still waiting to get the security footage from the mansion on the day of the wedding."

"That should tell us who took Jumper," Lydia says. "Stay positive, I believe that we will find your grandson."

"My God, I hope so," Sabine says back to her as her voice cracks. "This is just one big mess."

"Is that all that is troubling you? You seem really blue?"

"I think it's the time of the year," Sabine admits to her. "I have the winter blues."

"Oh Sabine."

Sabine gets water in her eyes as she looks back at Lydia. "I mean, look at my life. Look at my fucking life, Lydia. It's a mess. I have a suite upstairs, I was kicked out of the mansion; Nathan and I are over, my grandson is missing…my life is a gong show."

"Sabine," Lydia reaches over and grabs her hand. "Things will get better, I know they will. For starters, you don't need to stay here at the club."

"I can't go back to the mansion," Sabine shakes her head back to her sister. "Not as long as Nathan is there."

"Then move into my penthouse," Lydia suggests to her. "Kent isn't living there now because he is married to Vivian and living in the Blackmore mansion. You can start to rebuild your life there."

A tear falls down Sabine's cheek. "Lydia…I…I don't know what to say."

"Consider it a Christmas present," Lydia smiles back to her. "You're welcome."

A short time later, Sabine is wrapping up her breakfast while Lydia has escaped to the restroom. Mac, who just finished his meal at the bar, turns and sees his former lover at her table. He finds himself moving towards her.

"Good morning Sabine," he says with a grin on his face. "Where you here alone? I would have asked you to join me had I noticed you."

"I was here with Lydia," Sabine replies to him as he sits next to her. "She just ran to the restroom. "

"Oh good, how've you been? I know the wedding was, uh, difficult on you."

"I've been better," Sabine admits to him. "But I will pull through. Starting today, I know that I will be able to pull through."

Mac grabs her hand. "I'm glad to hear that. For the record, I think everything happened the way it was supposed to. If I am honest, I don't think you were meant to be with Nathan. And I, I sure as hell wasn't meant to be with Helena."

"Maybe in time I will believe that. But right now, it still hurts."

"That pain will go away," Mac looks into her eyes. "And maybe, we could help one another?"

"What are you saying?" Sabine asks him quickly.

Mac leans in and kisses her softly on the lips, just as Lydia appears behind the table and sees her sister and former husband in a lip lock.

A short time later, Lydia steps off the elevator at Rockwell Mining and pauses to fix her short skirt and her hair.

"Okay, here goes nothing," she whispers to herself as she moves towards the main office.

Meanwhile, inside the office, Nathan pours himself a scotch at the bar and takes a sip of it. He gets a sly grin on his face as he thinks about how Lucinda and Dane told him that he is, officially, in charge of Mortimer's care. The possibilities are endless, he realizes to himself as he takes another sip of his scotch.

"You look pleased with yourself," Lydia says as she opens the door to the office. "Did you just secure a new deal?"

Nathan chuckles back to her. "No, nothing like that," he tells her. "I, actually, just found out that I got more power within my own family."

Lydia arches her eyebrow back to him. "That sounds ominous. What is going on?"

"I suppose you will find out sooner or later," Nathan replies to her quickly. "Lucinda's divorce from Mortimer is finalized," he reveals to her. "That means that I am officially in charge of my father's medical care. Everything pertaining to Mortimer Rockwell is now in my hands."

Lydia smiles back to him as she moves closer to him. "Is there more scotch? Because I could toast you to that?"

"I'll pour you one," he says moving back to the bar.

"Oh good," Lydia grins back to him. "Many congratulations, Nathan. This could be the dawn of a new era."

Nathan passes her a drink and they toast. "That's exactly what I am hoping for."

Stacey slowly moves up to the front door of the Blackmore mansion. She hasn't been able to get her last visit with Kent our of her mind, where he admitted that he still loved her, so she is there to see him to see what they could do to try to be together, or at least tell Vivian the truth.

She moves inside the mansion, just as Kent is passing through the foyer. He stops and looks at her in surprise.

"Stace, what are you doing here?" he whispers back to her as she closes the door behind herself.

"I…I had to see you," she turns back to look at him. "I haven't been able to stop thinking about conversation."

"I meant every word," he moves closer to her. "I still love you, Stacey. I just need to find a way to get out of this mess."

He caresses her face and they lock eyes before he leans in and kisses her on her lips. Behind them, Vivian appears and gasps back in shock at the sight of her husband kissing the mother of her grandson.
