Lucinda refused to bulge but Lydia heard a noise in the kitchen. Lydia was stunned to see Celeste! Turns out she faked her death with Lucinda's help so they could gaslight Carmen into going crazy. Lydia loved the idea that they continued to keep Mac out of the mansion until Celeste would ghost Carmen. Lucinda was back at the hospital when Stacey went into labour. Lucinda wondered by Levi was calling her now as he tried to emancipate himself from the family because Lucinda's husband favored Mac, as he was the oldest. Lucinda, then, was unnerved to see Mac in business with Dane Ashby. At Cole and Madi's wedding, Dane approached Lucinda and revealed that he is the father of her child. They were interrupted by Mac but later, Dane again approached Lucinda, who vowed that no one would know that Mac's real father is Dane!

Dane, then, asked her if she had anymore secrets and Lucinda said no.

SEASON EIGHT: Lucinda was pleased when Mac and Nathan, seemingly, buried the hatchet and were getting along, and working together at Rockwell Mining. She returned home to a romantic evening with Dane. He proposed to her, and Lucinda accepted. The family was, mostly, happy for her. Lucinda admitted to Mac and Dane that the wedding wouldn't be easy because she would have to divorce Mortimer, and if she did that, she would lose her status as his primary medical care giver and it would go to Mortimer's son, Nathan. As much thought, she decided to file the divorce papers with Chase. Lucinda was, then, stunned by Nathan's revelation that he slept with Helena at his wedding to Sabine. After, Lucinda learned that her divorce was proceeding and she warned Dane about keeping anything from her.

In the aftermath, Mac was getting more information from Lydia. Lucinda went to find out what happened, as well, and she overheard them admit that Dyhannah Cooper was Dane's daughter!

SEASON NINE: Lucinda, who was reeling from learning that Dane is Dyhannah's
biological father, told Mac that she didn't know what to do with the
information. They agreed to keep it quiet until they figured it out.
Lucinda, however, told Dane that she didn't want to be married right
away, which was a completely different state of mind. Dane was left
confused. Lucinda was gutted when Mortimer died. She couldn't help but
wonder if Nathan had something to do with the death of his father
after Mortimer's will revealed that Nathan was going to inherit
millions, but he claimed he didn't. Soon, however, Nathan was hearing
voices that told him he killed Mortimer, which he spoke about. Lydia
was worried about his mental state, so she had him committed. Lucinda
visited her son, who claimed that Lydia set him up, which made him
seem even crazier. Dane supported Lucinda through out the ordeal.
Dane, then, learned about Lydia's investigation into his past and he
asked Lucinda about it, who revealed that she knew. He pressed her for
information and she finally revealed that Dyhannah was his biological
daughter, which left him stunned. Lucinda, then, went to Lydia and
demanded that she sign over Nathan's power of attorney. Turns out,
they planned together to make it seem like Nathan was crazy to get Mac
back in to control of the company and to find out the truth about
Mortimer's death. Lucinda was horrified when Lydia refused to sign
over the POA until Lucinda had broken up Mac and Sabine for good.

THE DIAMOND THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS: Lucinda demanded that Lydia turn over Nathan's power of attorney, but
Lydia refused until Lucinda had broken up Mac and Sabine. Lucinda,
knowing that Sabine was insecure because of her scarred face, told her
that Mac deserved a beautiful woman on his arm. Sabine left town and
went to New York, and told Mac not to wait for her before she left.
Lucinda told Lydia that her plan worked and she wanted the POA.
Lucinda, meanwhile, saw a close moment between Dane and Dyhannah and
realized that he was trying to have a relationship with his daughter.
Not wanting Dyhannah in her life, Lucinda dumped Dane and told them
that they were over for good.
