SEASON ONE: Marat is the Russian whom Mac did business with to secure a mine in Russia.

SEASON TWO: Marat arrived in Kelsey Lake after Lydia became the CEO of Rockwell Mining and she revoked the 5% profits from the Russian mine. Marat told her that his father wasn't happy, but Lydia told him that they would have to deal with it. Soon after, Marat saw Celeste at Rockwell and they caught up as they have a secret past together. Marat, however, saw Stacey, once she awoke from her coma, and instantly fell head over heels for her. Marat asked her out, but Stacey refused, as she was mourning the death of Houston. Finally, after advice from Celeste, Stacey agreed to go out with Marat and they had a good time. Mac got Rockwell back and reinstated the 5% clause to Marat and his father. Marat and Stacey, then, professed their love to one another. Marat revealed that he had to go back to Russia to see his father and he asked Stacey to go with him. Stacey agreed. Mac threw them a going away party, where Lex collapsed.

SEASON THREE: Marat and Stacey continued their affair. Marat was suspicious of Yuri when his father quickly left Rockwell Mining, incurring a huge penalty in the process, and moved the Kremlin Diamonds over to Blackmore Ltd. Marat supported Stacey as she was the CEO of Blackmore Ltd, and he proposed to her. She accepted. He also reconnected with Celeste and helped her through some rough times. Vivian saw them together and wondered what was going on. Celeste confided to Marat that she couldn't have any children. Marat encouraged her to come clean with Cole before the wedding as he had a right to know. On the day of the wedding, Vivian interrupted the ceremony with the news that Marat and Celeste had a love child together that they gave up for adoption; Vivian revealed that she had adopted the girl. Stacey was horrified, but she forgave Marat. They married in a simple ceremony, unaware her presumed dead fiancé, Houston Blackmore, was still alive.

SEASON FOUR: On his honeymoon with Stacey in Hawaii, Marat struggled to keep his mind off Celeste and Ashlee back in Kelsey Lake. Stacey agreed to cut their trip short. In Kelsey Lake, Marat and Celeste grew closer as they worked to get Ashlee back. Despite Stacey's testimony, Vivian won custody of the child. Shots were fired at Stacey, Marat and Celeste as they left the court house, but no one was injured. Soon, news of the fire at Lucinda's mansion spread, and Marat went with his wife to get food for the family. As they were leaving the club, Stacey was shot! Marat rushed her to the hospital, where she survived but she mumbled Houston's name in her sleep. Devastated, Marat turned to Celeste and they had sex. They agreed it was a mistake and it would never happen again. He was then shocked to learn that Lydia and Houston were alive. He was upset when Stacey and Houston reunited; he revealed to Houston that he was Stacey's husband. Stacey reassured him their marriage was solid, but he walked in on a close moment between the ex-lovers and a fight broke out; Stacey broke it up. Marat then learned that Vivian lied about being Ashlee's father and then Celeste shocked him by revealing she was pregnant and he was the father! At the party, Stacey admitted to Marat that she still had feelings for Houston!

SEASON FIVE: Marat survived the bombing at the mansion but was devastated when Yuri was killed. Stacey recommitted to him as she was livid with Houston for sleeping with Lydia. Marat learned that he was going to take over the Kremlin Diamonds from Yuri; he had to go back to Russia and asked Stacey to return with him. She agreed. Marat, meanwhile, was relieved when Celeste and the baby were safe following the explosions. He encouraged Celeste to tell Cole the truth. On the day he and Stacey were supposed to leave for Moscow, Houston revealed that Marat got Celeste pregnant. Stacey was gutted and told Marat to leave without her. He returned soon after and saw Celeste. Upset that he went to Celeste before her, Stacey asked Marat for a divorce. He and Celeste left for Russia again, until after the baby was born. They returned at Stacey and Houston's engagement party and he made it clear he wanted Stacey back.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Marat and Celeste bonded over their son. He got a contract job at Rockwell Mining and worked with Stacey. They agreed to be friends but grew closer. After a fight with Houston, Stacey turned to Marat and they slept together on Christmas Eve.

GOLD DIGGERS: Marat and Stacey ran into one another and she admitted that their affair on Christmas Eve was a mistake. He told her that he would back off if she was happy with Houston. He didn't realize that Grant had overheard their conversation. On the day of Stacey's wedding, Marat paid her a visit and they shared a close moment. Grant, then, interrupted the wedding and announced that Stacey and Marat slept together on Christmas Eve!

WALKING DEAD: Marat was summoned to the Rockwell mansion by Stacey where he encountered his former lover and Houston. A very pregnant stunned both men by announcing that she didn't know who fathered her child. Houston was livid and stormed out. Marat was thrilled at the prospects of being a father again. Stacey, however, was upset that Houston left and fainted! Marat rushed her to the hospital where he, and the Rockwell's, learned that Stacey had gestational diabetes; she would have to stay calm the remainder of the pregnancy. While in the hospital, Stacey agreed to do a paternity test on the child. The results confirmed Marat was the child! He was thrilled and he and Stacey rejoiced. After getting discharged from the hospital, Marat tended to her needs. Soon, however, Cole found Stacey passed out despite her water breaking. Back at the hospital, Marat worried about Stacey and his child. Stacey had to have an emergency c-section and the doctor confirmed that the baby might need a stem transplant as a result. Marat was going to donate as the father but Lex dropped a bombshell: he switched the paternity tests to get back at Houston! Marat was furious with him but Mac told him not to fight at the hospital. After Stacey and the baby boy were okay, Marat watched the new family in jealousy.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Marat visited Stacey and kissed her. She told him that she had to make her relationship with Houston work as they now share a son. Marat respected her decision but longed for Stacey. Lydia, then, paid Marat
a visit to snoop for information about Celeste. He, still thinking
that Celeste was dead, didn't give anything away to Lydia.

CABO WABO: Marat realized that there was trouble between Stacey and Houston and told his former lover not to give up on Houston because she gave up a chance to be with him. Dyhannah, then, approached Marat and suggested they work together on new line between Blackmore Ltd and the Kremlin. Marat agreed. Cole then stunned Marat with the news that Celeste was alive. He agreed to do whatever he could to help find her. Marat and Dyhannah shortly after become lovers.

THE SWITCH: Marat and Dyhannah continued to enjoy one another. Houston, however, told Marat that he overheard Dyhannah admit that she was still in love with Chase. Houston asked Marat to pursue Carmen to help him out. Marat agreed. He dumped Dyhannah, who apologized to him. Marat and Carmen, meanwhile, hit it off and they soon hit the sheets. Marat realized that he had fallen for Carmen and suggested that they get married. Carmen, then, agreed to Mac's divorce settlement offer. She then overheard Marat and Houston talking about their plan and was furious. She slapped Marat and told him that she never wanted to see him again.

CHRISTMAS MINI SERIES: Marat visited Celeste in jail and told her that he would watch the children while she served her time. Shortly after, Lydia approached Marat and suggested that he make a play for Stacey since Houston was out of the picture. Marat agreed that it was a good idea. Soon after, Marat and Stacey ended up in bed; she was unaware of her mother's influence over him and he was unaware that she was trying to forget Kent.

SEASON SIX: Lydia approached Marat to find out what his relationship with Stacey was; Marat admitted to her that he and Stacey were growing closer, which thrilled Lydia. Marat and Stacey made love, which thrilled him. Shortly after, Marat overheard Stacey admit that she and Kent slept together, which left him upset. He almost told Lydia but didn't get too before she married Kent. He was going to confront Stacey but he found out that she was at the hospital, following her saving Lex and Houston.. Shortly after, Stacey and Marat agreed to be witnesses at Quinn and Deacon's wedding. The ceremony, however, was interrupted by Chase and Dyhannah, who announced that Marat, not Deacon, was the father of Quinn's baby!

SEASON SEVEN: Marat and Stacey remained at odds over the fact that he was revealed to be the father of Quinn's baby. He, knowing of her affair with Kent, told her that she has her own secrets. Marat and Deacon ended up meeting and realized that neither one of them know who the actual father of the child is; they agreed that they needed a paternity test. They went to Quinn and requested the test; she agreed. Dyhannah, meanwhile, went to Marat and told him that they need the truth regardless. He agreed. Once the test confirmed that Deacon was the father, Marat left like he was losing something. Dyhannah convinced him to get Quinn's phone to see if she altered the results. Marat was with Quinn when she went into labour; he took her to the hospital. While she was being checked in, he got her phone and saw texts to Casper. It turned out to be a false alarm and Marat left Deacon and Quinn alone. Marat went to Dyhannah and told her about Casper being on Quinn's phone. Chase went to Casper and threatened to pull his lease again. Marat, Chase and Dyhannah interrupted, again, Deacon and Sabine's wedding with the news that Casper switched the paternity results but they were too late: Deacon had married Quinn! The revelation caused Quinn to go into labour. Marat was with her when she awoke; they had a son together and Deacon sent her annulment papers.

SEASON EIGHT: Marat was reeling from the fact that he is Jumper's father, not Deacon. He told Quinn that her lies would catch up to her. Celeste supported him after he filed for custody of the baby. Deacon and Quinn, however, were furious with him and vowed that he wouldn't get his son. Marat was worried when Chase agreed to represent Quinn and the first day in court didn't go very well. Marat vowed to keep his son. On the day of Nathan and Sabine's wedding, he broke into the mansion and later, Quinn saw Jumper missing from his crib!

CHRISTMAS - JINGLE BELL ROCK: Marat was seen on security video footage of being the one that kidnapped baby Jumper.

SEASON NINE: Marat continued to hide Jumper in Moscow as he thought Quinn was an
unfit mother. Shortly, he came face to face with Sabine, who told him
he was there on business. He didn't believe her and when he approached
her, she fell and knocked her head on the desk, which left her
unconscious. When she awoke, Marat had tied her up to a chair in the
basement of the Kremlin. He refused to let her go, and wasn't
surprised when Deacon and Quinn soon found them. A fight broke out
between the men, and Marat ended up pushing Deacon into a vat of acid,
which killed him. Marat tried to escape but Quinn knocked him out, and
he was arrested. He was then forced to tell Quinn the location of
Jumper.
