February 07, 2019 -- March Promo Released

APN - With February sweeps in full swing right now, One Day at a Time has released a new promo for the up coming month. The promo features Jeff and Leah teasing a wedding and the truth about Meggan's baby possibly coming out.

"The February promo is really set for the week of daily episodes," Dallas Walsh explains. "Since we are almost through with those episodes, I thought it would be fun to tease the audience with what is coming up beyond this week."

Dallas also explains that March will be an interesting month for his release schedule, which is usually weekly. "I am going on a vacation for over half of the month," Dallas continues. "So, I will actually be releasing four episodes at once ... which I have never done! It might be overwhelming but the readers can pick and choose how much or little they read at a given time."

January 2019 -- February Promo Released

APN - One Day at a Time has released it's first promo of 2019, coming this February.

"I wanted to give the audience a little break from the promos," head writer Dallas Walsh explains. "We had some last summer and one heading into the fall, but then I wanted to take a pause."

There were may reasons for the pause, Dallas continues to explain. "First, I was teasing the launch of a new website for ODaaT; that in itself was a bigger deal than any storyline promo at the time. Secondly, I was promoting the Chasing Diamonds Christmas special, because that deserved it's own time to shine. Thirdly, the end of the year is just a busy time for everyone with the holidays."

Now that the holiday season is over, Dallas has officially released the first promo of the year. "It will be at Shane's birthday party, which are the first set of dailies in 2019," Dallas reveals. "I was going to do a January promo, but thought this would be more fun as it has some build up to it."

One Day at a Time – Revamp Coming

APN – One Day at a Time will soon be getting a makeover! Creator Dallas Walsh has announced that for the 2019 season, the series will get an updated look to it, which only comes two years after the series last redo.

"For years, One Day at a Time had the same website & look," Dallas explains to the APN. "But, I really wanted something different for 2017, the 15th Anniversary year. That's where the current website and logo came from; it was slightly different from the traditional pink rose that was always One Day at a Time, but in a modern way. However, I always knew that this look would be short lived."

So, what can we expect from the new design?

"It's still very ODaaT; a flower and it will be pink. Pink has always been the ODaaT Theme color, so we are getting back to that. But, it still has a tough of the modern vibe that the current logo has. It's the best of both worlds."

One Day at a Time is getting ready to celebrate it's 500th (!!!) episode this October. To honor this milestone, creator Dallas Walsh has leaked a new promo, calling the episode a "Bloody Mess". What do you think will happen on the 500th episode? The 500th episode of ODAAT is coming October 2018.

One Day at a Time has released two new summer promo's, featuring two storylines that will move front and center once the current Ice Storm arch raps up in May.

"I'm very excited about the summer months in Twin Peaks," Dallas Walsh says. "We move away from the ice storm arch into other storylines that will play out in June, July and August. These stories, like many on the series, will have long long lasting effects for the characters involved."

NEW CHARACTERS COMING THIS SUMMER TO ODAAT

AP - Creator of One Day at a Time Dallas Walsh has indicated that two new characters will be joining the series this summer in a new story that will unfold.

"Two characters are coming to the series in the summer months that will have major impact on Dawn's life and her storyline," Dallas previews. "She's at a point right now where she is coming to terms with her sexuality and who she is a person. These characters will continue to assist in that journey."

Watch for both characters to start appearing in August; one is a long term character and the other is a short term character. How will they impact Dawn? Are you excited to see some fresh faces on the series?
